Retirement At Last
From Bob Rodriguez
Lovell, Wyo.
I am taking advantage of this forum to express my appreciation for the nearly 25 years that Jan and I were supported by the Illinois Valley community. And it felt good to visit with so many friends at the gathering in the “News” office on Friday evening, Sept. 3.
Dan Mancuso and Kevan Moore make a good publisher/editor team; so we look forward to “Illinois Valley News” continuing for many years under their tutelage.
Disgruntled already
From Gloria Ziller
O’Brien
While I welcome new ownership, I simply cannot stomach the tactic of "cleaning house". I especially take extreme issue with terminating the employment of Michelle Binker. As I would like to attempt to keep this a polite and printable letter I will not go much further other than to say I think it best that everyone boycott the I.V. News if they are going to persist in "coming into town" and throwing out all who live here and have been keeping this paper alive and well for so long. I hope they do some serious rethinking . . . or go somewhere else . . .
