He“s not voting for DeFazio
From Steve Shepherd
Selma
Rep. Peter DeFazio needs to go!
It is time we have different representation for the Fourth Congressional District. At the end of 2010, DeFazio will have been in office 12 terms, a total of 24 years. No one should serve in Congress for that length of time.
There is an arrogance and indifference that comes from years of unchallenged political power. It was manifested in DeFazio“s health-care town hall meetings. He used a dismissive tone when answering questions he disagreed with.
He was especially smug and terse with constituents who did not accept his talking points on the health-care reform fiasco. You could see it angered him to be asked to give an accounting from people whose opinions and concerns he had no respect for.
His body language appeared to indicate that he doesn“t suffer fools gladly. And in his eyes we were those fools.
On DeFazio“s Congressional Website, there is a debt clock showing the monstrous and unsustainable debt that Congress continues racking up. At one time, the site specified what a family“s share of the national debt was, but those numbers are no longer there. I guess that amount was too distressing.
While DeFazio“s “debt clock“ is spinning out of control, he obediently follows Speaker Pelosi“s lead, raising the debt by billions and trillions with no end in sight. Congress continues to initiate more expensive power-grabbing programs, with more regulations and more unelected faceless bureaucrats to administer them.
There is no debate or discussion about the long-term consequences of the Communist Chinese paying for out-of-control Congressional spending. The piper will have to be paid, and that time is coming soon!
The political aristocracy in Congress has been allowed to live in the rarefied air of Washington far too long. The lack of accountability has created an environment of contempt for constituents. Politicians have rigged the political system to protect incumbents and make it impossible for challengers to defeat them. Career politicians will never allow Congressional term limits.
The Founding Fathers created Congress as a body of citizen legislators, not as a lifetime political career. The political class won“t voluntarily relinquish its grasp on power. So that leaves it up to us as voters to initiate term limits at the ballot box.
Politicians need to be taught the lesson they have forgotten or just choose to ignore. They are our servants; we are not theirs. It is time to hold them accountable. For that reason, Rep. Peter DeFazio needs to go.
Bouquet for concerts
From Christine Perala Gardiner
Cave Junction
I appreciate Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce and all the supporters of the concert series in Jubilee Park this summer. I“m so glad that I finally went to hear the music. Each evening was delightful, while each band was unique and well-suited for family fun.
This concert series adds real culture and fun to Cave Junction for free, and I wanted to say how much I enjoyed it.
I“m already looking forward to the concerts next summer. The chamber deserves recognition for bringing live music to our town.
USA hungry spider
From George McElroy
Cave Junction
In an all-encompassing spider“s web, picture the people whose sole purpose is to supply the spider with sustenance provided by their labor. The spider grows larger each year because it demands more each year.
The spider is the USA — a corporation. How did we get caught in this web“
Americans will never tolerate changing the Constitution; therefore many statutes were passed to change our Natural Man and Woman status to that of a merchant involved in limited liability for profit or gain.
Trading with the Enemy Act 1917 and the Amendatory Act of March 1933. We have no personal rights at law in any court and all rights of an enemy (all American citizens are all declared enemies) to sue in the courts are suspended ... For the Public Good vs. Private gain.
House Joint Resolution 192; 1933. On June 5, 1933, Congress passed HJR 192. It suspended the gold standard and abrogated the gold clause in the Constitution. This suspension removed the substance for our common law to operate on, and created a void as far as the law is concerned. This void was filled by Maritime Law, meaning that Common Law has no standing in a Maritime Court.
Gold-backed money was replaced with a “Public National Credit System“ in which debt is “Legal Tender.“ Federal Reserve Notes (frns) now are considered our approved currency, supplied exclusively by the Federal Reserve (Fed). It is a Maritime Lender and operates as an insurer (without any risk). Because we are forced to use this debt paper, we are required to pay a yearly premium because we benefit from its usage and are considered merchants.
Merchants only have access to Maritime Courts. Individual Rights and the Constitution have no standing in such. We are forced to use frns because real money has been removed from circulation, and the courts will hear no objection to unlawful use of frns.
In 1933, the War and Emergency Powers Act was passed, enabling the president to declare a “State of National Emergency“ allowing him to take control of the government (as the Commander in Chief).
Also in 1933, FDR declared the USA in bankruptcy. Because of that, the Fed required as collateral that the USA insure this venture by surrendering all resources and assets to the Fed. This instituted the birth certificate and the Social Security System to determine a count of human resources — The People.
Our courts are adjudicating Civil Law. Under it we have no right to jury.
Under Common Law we have a right to a 12-person jury of our peers; we judge the justice of the law; we determine the admissibility of evidence, we apply law to facts and render a verdict according to conscience, with reference to the Golden Rule.
Man has corrupted our Judicial, Legislative, and Executive branches of the federal government. Our natural rights and their protection under the Constitution for the USA have no standing under Martial Law.
Anyone can look up this reference material and judge for themselves. (Internet Common Law 1).
My conclusion is that God gave man his Divine Law to live by. He gave man the authority to administer his law. He never gave man the authority to make law. I am bound by God“s law; not the laws of society. God is my master; I am his servant. My allegiance is to the Sovereign of the Universe, who is Jesus the Christ.
Sept. 11, 2001 “lies“
From William Schneider
Cave Junction
All the lies, deceit and worse swept under the rug have become a mountain which America will keep tripping on and falling down because of.
Once again the anniversary of the most horrific event ever visited upon the American people is coming up. Made so much more so by the fact that all the evidence in all its preponderance points directly to people inside the U.S. government.
To this day I am amazed that not one of the criminal organization that was the Bush administration has been held accountable. Let“s see, a stolen election, two wars started on lies, the devastation of an economy and complicity, at the very least, in the mass murder of more than 3,000 people, is not enough to raise much more than an eyebrow: But oooh, that Maxine Watters and Charlie Rayle.
Karl Rove calls it mistakes and miscalculations. I call it murder, robbery and treason. Truth will piss you off, but only truth will keep you free.
America and the world were lied to about 9/11/01. Thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, thou shalt not covet. These are a few of what Christians say are the laws of God. So what are we doing in the Middle East“
America has been reduced to Third World status by corrupt government and a complacent population. Never again will she stand honorable and tall until truth is told, and truth is demanded by the people of the government that serves at their will.
To accept lies is to live lies. Since Sept. 11, 2001 America has been living a lie. How much longer“ How much more“
