Stockings for soldiers

STOCKINGS FOR SOLDIERS — Members of Josephine County 4-H clubs have completed 300 stockings of the 600 that they need for their project to provide U.S. servicemen with socks. During county fair week, Aug. 17 through 21, 4-H“ers will work on finishing the last 300. The 4-H Bldg. on the fairgrounds in Grants Pass won“t only have its exhibits, but also sewing machines set up for the 4-H members to sew between activities. “We would like the public to come see the display and participating 4-H“ers in this community service project,“ said Lorena Becker, of Oregon State University Josephine County Extension. “Monetary donations are welcome,“ she noted.
