  • Wednesday, July 21
    • Quantities of various prescription pills were reportedly taken from an unlocked vehicle on a Cave Junction parking lot at 1:51 p.m.
    • A report for theft of services was pending after it was reported that someone in a yellow pickup truck had been dumping their personal garbage in a trash bin behind CJ Dairy Queen.
    • Frank Aguilar Martinez, 67, was cited on a charge of speeding (74 mph in a 55 mph zone) in the 30000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 8:29 p.m.
    • Stacy Rae Wiggins, 42, was cited on a charge of violation of the basic rule (VBR)/speeding (57 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Waldemar Lane.
    • Devin Keola Rainbow Tandy, 34, was cited on a charge of speeding (71 mph in a 55 mph zone) in the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 8:38 p.m.
    • Arizona driver Theodore J Schulz, 18, was cited on a charge of speeding (61 mph in a 45 mph zone) on S. Redwood Hwy. at 9:17 p.m.
    • Brandon George Kakitsuka, 17, was cited on a charge of VBR/speeding (72 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. near Waldo Road at 9:19 p.m.
    • Michela Yiu Ming Leu, 60, was cited on a charge of speeding (68 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at River Street at 10:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 22
    • James D. Carlile, 52, was cited on a charge of speeding on Redwood Hwy. near mile marker 18.
    • Cody S. Zook, 38, was cited on a charge of speeding (67 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Gold Canyon Road at 8:52 a.m.
    • Glenn R. Johnson, 78, was cited on a charge of VBR (68 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy.
    • Shane A. Johnston, 34, was cited on a charge of VBR (64 mph in a 45 mph) on Redwood Hwy. at Kerby Mainline Road at 9:27 a.m.
    • Lorikay McKune, 48, was cited on a charge of VBR (64 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Lister Street at 9:46 a.m.
    • On N. Hussey Avenue, Jill M. Hicks, 64, was cited on a charge of failure to wear a seatbelt.
    • Shaun O“Brian, 45, was cited on a VBR charge (72 mph in a 55 mph zone) near Redwood Hwy. milepost 30.
    • Lisa S. Connell, 44, was cited on a charge of VBR (60 mph in a 40 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Rockydale Road at 10:37 a.m.
    • Ralph F. Mitchell, 87, was cited on a charge of unsafe passing on Redwood Hwy. at Rockydale Road at 10:49 a.m.
    • Angel Lee Allender, 39, was cited on a charge of failure to stop for a pedestrian on Redwood Hwy. in Downtown Cave Junction at 11:15 a.m.
    • On W. Schumacher Street, Jerry Victor Lewis Owens Jr., 26, was cited on a Multnomah County warrant charging carrying a concealed weapon.
    • Cynthia Elissa Crocker, 54, was cited on a charge of speeding on Redwood Hwy. in Kerby.
    • Jason S. Prather, 39, was cited on a charge of speeding (90 mph in a 55 mph zone) at milepost 18 on Redwood Hwy. at 2:45 p.m.
    • An Oak Lane resident complained of receiving harassing phone calls from her former fiancé.
    • A Cobalt Drive resident was provided information about telephone harassment.
    • An agitated woman was said to be hopping in and out of traffic on N. Redwood Hwy. at 5:14 p.m. Although uncooperative with a deputy, she was determined to be not a danger to herself.
    • Shawna Rachelle Hackett, 22, was cited on a charge of speeding (75 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at mile marker 18.
    • Contacted on E. Watkins Street in Downtown Cave Junction, Doreen Lee Miller, 36, subsequently was lodged in Josephine County Jail in Grants Pass on warrants charging failure to appear (FTA) on original charges of driving under the influence of an intoxicant (DUII) and fourth-degree assault/menacing.
    • A Takilma Road resident said that a suspicious vehicle had backed into her long driveway at 9:28 p.m. They left while she was with the call taker.
    • Someone reported hearing someone else call for help in the vicinity of S. Kerby Avenue at 10:30 p.m.
    • A child was reportedly bitten on the head by a dog in the 300 block of Caves Hwy.
  • Friday, July 23
    • At 2:13 a.m. a resident on W. River Street stated that a man with a baseball bat was hitting objects in her yard.
    • Theft of items including two purses and a wallet from a locked vehicle at Six Mile campground was reported.
    • A dog-owner was warned for having his pet off-leash after an officer pepper-sprayed the animal near Rough and Ready Creek.
    • Kendall Ruskin Houck, 56, was cited on a charge of speeding (57 mph in a 45 mph zone) and warned for lacking current proof of insurance on N. Redwood Hwy. at 6:09 p.m.
    • Donald David Ratzlaff, 48, was cited on a charge of speeding (60 mph in a 45 mph zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 6:33 p.m.
    • At the 18-mile marker on Redwood Hwy., Thomas Bill Nelson, 74, was cited on a charge of speeding (72 mph in a 55 mph zone).
    • Michael Sean Boehm, 33, was cited on a charge of speeding (61 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Glendon Road at 8:09 p.m.
    • A caller from Crest Drive reported hearing a man and woman yelling at one another, and a gunshot, at 9:18 p.m.
    • Stopped on Caves Hwy. near S. Junction Avenue at 10:46 p.m., Michael Scott Harris, 45, was cited on charges of DUII and refusing a breath test. His vehicle was impounded.
    • Kenneth Russell Davis, 24, was taken into custody by OSP on a charge of DUII at mile marker 31 on Redwood Hwy. at 11:44 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 24
    • A “large group“ of noisy individuals in Downtown Cave Junction were said to have disturbed a caller“s sleep at 2:25 a.m.
    • After a report of an assault on W. Watkins Street at 2:31 a.m., an investigation determined that both parties had been injured. A report was referred to the district attorney“s office.
    • Gabriel Charles Cano, 27, was cited on charges of no operator“s permit, no insurance and warning for unlawful cell phone use on Watkins Street at 10:43 a.m.
    • Stopped for expired registration on Caves Hwy. at Junction Avenue, Kevin Leon Blessing, 46, was cited on charges of no operator permit, no insurance and expired registration.
    • Kevin Joseph Hoover, 55, was cited on charges of DWS and driving uninsured. He denied owning the vehicle he“d been driving, stating, “I found it and was driving it.“ The vehicle was impounded.
    • Robert Warren Denis, 55, was cited on a charge of VBR on N. Redwood Hwy. at 12:55 p.m.
    • Dozens of illegal parking citations were left for drivers whose vehicles were in prohibited places along Illinois River Road.
    • A business owner in Kerby asked that a man be “trespassed“ from her shop due to his “foul language and belligerent behavior.“
    • In Kerby a caller stated that a woman was upset because he drove past her residence, so she turned a hose on him and then threw rocks at his car, causing damage. Subsequently, Debbie Lynn Smarr, 44, was cited on a charge of third-degree criminal mischief.
    • Daniel Kenneth Richardson, 40, was cited on a charge of speeding (64 mph in a 45 mph zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 9:18 p.m.
    • An Arrowhead Drive caller reported a dispute with a neighbor about use of her gate. It was determined that the gate was illegally blocking a county easement.
    • After contacting a large group at Sam Brown Campground near Grants Pass, 19 persons were cited on federal charges of minor in possession of alcohol. One 16-year-old was cited on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) by consumption.
    • Michelle Ann Marie Fisher, 35, was cited on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) on S. Old Stage Road at 11:02 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 25
    • An argument between a man and woman was reported at 1:29 a.m. on Caves Hwy. at Redwood Hwy. A deputy was unable to locate either party.
    • Dip D. Mulch, 48, was cited on a charge of speeding (70 mph in a 55 mph zone) in the 23000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 12:12 p.m.
    • A Caves Hwy. resident complained about telephonic harassment by a woman whom he said was threatening suicide.
    • Michael Raymond Popow, 52, was cited on a charge of speeding (84 mph in a 55 mph zone) in the 30000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 1:42 p.m.
    • Citations for illegal parking were left for some vehicle owners on Illinois River Road today.
    • Theft of a bottle of bourbon from a Cave Junction bar was noted at 4:21 p.m.
    • Jake Marcel Edward Dionne, 20, was cited on a charge of PCS marijuana at milepst 34 on Redwood Hwy.
    • A wallet containing credit cards, a driver license and a Duke University ID was found at Sam Brown Campground.
  • Monday, July 26
    • A complainant stated that his parents allowed some people passing themselves off as “appraisers“ to enter their home. The caller was concerned that the people in question were casing the area.
    • A report for third-degree criminal mischief was pending after a caller on Kerby Street reported damage to a fence and barbecue, and strewn garbage.
    • Cameron Roger Dailey, 42, was cited on a warrant charging probation violation/dangerous drugs after the Rogue Area Drug Eradication team paid a visit to his Takilma Road residence.
    • Someone reported theft of items including a car stereo, speakers and wallets from a vehicle parked out Illinois River Road at McCaleb Ranch Scout Camp.
    • Rodney Blake Sanders, 45, was cited on a charge of no operator“s permit on Redwood Hwy. at Laurel Road at 3:24 p.m.
    • Motives were unclear in the case of a vehicle allegedly stolen from a Caves Hwy. location for the purpose of either a beer run or quick trip home. In any event, neither the small, gray, two-door or the people believed to have taken it were located.
    • It was requested that a deputy contact some “bums“ said to be hanging out and drinking on a vacant lot on S. Redwood Hwy. and tell them to move on.
    • Jade Charleton Yandell, 20, was lodged in county jail on a probation officer“s detainer and a charge of resisting arrest following a loud disturbance on S. Junction Avenue reported at 8:44 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 27
    • Due to reports of speeding vehicles on Lone Mountain Road, a deputy provided extra patrol to the area beginning at 6:32 a.m.
    • Constance Ellen Hicks, 53, was cited on a charge of VBR at 7:50 a.m. on Redwood Hwy. at Lone Mountain Road.
    • Mark Eugene Kundert, 54, was cited on a charge of VBR at 9:08 a.m. on Redwood Hwy. in the 29000 block.
    • Valley deputies were asked to be on the alert for three Hispanic youths, reportedly affiliated with a Napa Valley gang, who left Bar-O Boys Camp in Gasquet, Calif. without authorization.
    • Frozen food was reported stolen from a freezer outside a business in Selma. What remained was ruined, the caller said, because the thief left the door ajar.
