“With every service, you receive a touch of class,“ says Illinois Valley resident Tony Fierro, who practices “Premier Plumbing,“ a skill he learned through plumbing seminars on “Success with Attitude Training.“

Fierro explained, “I learned the importance of fixing the customer before fixing their problems. My goal is to help the customer — not just fix the problem and leave.

“I assure them that I will take care of them, and make them feel they are getting value for every dollar they are spending. I go above and beyond what“s expected of a plumber to ensure quality service.

“It“s an awesome feeling to help somebody, and take a terrible situation and make it a good experience for the customer,“ says Fierro, owner of Class Act Plumbing Service & Repair.

Some of the services offered by Class Act Plumbing include senior discounts, faucets, water heaters, remodels, instant tankless water heaters, shower valves, tub/shower units, toilets and drain cleaning.

Fierro, who has lived in Selma for 13 years, provides a free 55-point home inspection with his service calls throughout Illinois Valley, Grants Pass, and border-to-border up to Canyonville.

“My focus is to take care of folks here in Illinois Valley,“ Fierro noted. “There are no travel charges — fuel, insurance, labor and parts are all included in the bid.

“I charge a flat rate vs. hourly because I believe when a customer gets a bid, it should never change except for unforeseen or additional circumstances, for example: If the customer wants a more expensive faucet, then naturally the bid would change.“

Fierro studied for four years in the Rogue Community College Trades Center Plumbing Apprenticeship, with 576 classroom hours and 7,700 on-the-job hours in all aspects of plumbing installation and piping. He then passed the Oregon exam for his journeyman card, then his business license, and a 16-hour course for his contractor“s license.

No plastic faucets for Class Act Plumbing — Fierro uses only quality materials such as brass, braided steel and copper water heater flex lines, Moen and Delta shower valves and faucets. “I buy materials and fixtures that will last from my supplier in Medford,“ says Fierro.

Another quality product Fierro provides is Aqua-pex pipe, invented in Switzerland. The pipe expands to seven times its normal size, so if it freezes, it won“t burst, he said. It has memory, expands, then contracts to its original size.

Many houses more than 50 years old might experience low water pressure due to rust build-up in galvanized pipes, and Fierro“s specialty just happens to be full-house water re-pipes.

Orangeburg pipes used in older homes were made of hardened tar paper, which are now starting to crush and decompose. Class Act Plumbing also can repair and perform full house sewer repipes.

Class Act Plumbing also offers a member benefit plan, with priority service, preferential pricing of 12 to 15 percent discount, and multiple home coverage.

Fierro“s Member Benefit plan still is valid if the customer relocates within a 50-mile radius of Selma. The one-year Member Benefit plan is $89, three years is $189; the five-year plan $289; or for best savings, the $500 lifetime plan. All plans receive annual home inspections whether or not work is done at the home.

Class Act Plumbing normal operating hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, with emergency service available after-hours for an extra charge.
