  • Wednesday, June 9
    • Following an investigation on Holland Loop, Peter Andrew Struyck, 57, was lodged in Josephine County Jail in Grants Pass on a warrant charging probation violation and failure to appear (FTA) on an original contempt-of-court charge.
    • A woman reported unauthorized entry to a vacant residence on Hussey Street. A wheelchair was missing, according to the caller.
    • In the 200 block of N. Redwood Hwy. it was reported, some teen-age boys were building a bike jump on a parking lot with gravel taken from the highway. They moved on when asked.
    • On Ollis Road a man was warned about his behavior after it was reported that he“d been wandering the neighborhood yelling and swearing.
    • Pieces of a disassembled structure were taken from a fenced area behind the Illinois Valley Safe House Alliance office on S. Kerby Avenue. The caller stated that those responsible were using the pieces for a bike ramp.
  • Thursday, June 10
    • The deaths of two miniature horses were reported by a resident on White Schoolhouse Road. She suspected that the animals had been shot.
    • Items including a rifle, game console, laptop computer and iPod, tools and a chop saw from a residence on Robinson Road were said to have been stolen.
    • A 15-year-old youth was contacted on the roof of a restroom at Jubilee Park. He was warned about his action.
    • Two boys were reportedly pounding on the door of a Patton Bar Drive residence with a baseball bat. All parties contacted were warned against trespassing at one another“s residence.
  • Friday, June 11
    • Located on S. Redwood Hwy. in Downtown Cave Junction, Galen Eli Aller, 62, was lodged in county jail on a charge of FTA on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
    • Theft of items stored in a travel trailer in the 37000 block of Redwood Hwy. was reported.
    • A pedestrian complained that an elderly driver nearly struck him as he was in a crosswalk in Downtown Cave at Junction 12:19 p.m.
    • On Rockydale Road a caller thought it odd that a group of teen-agers twice scattered into some bushes as she drove past them.
    • Attempted theft of fiber optic wire from near Oregon Caves National Monument was logged.
    • Jeremiah James Mutina, 22, was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license (DWS) on S. Redwood Hwy. at 3:15 p.m.
    • Some 40 gallons of gasoline were siphoned from a vehicle on Lone Mountain Road, a complainant said.
    • Contacted at Jubilee Park, Anthony Vidales-Frank, 27, was lodged in county jail on a warrant charging FTA on an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII).
    • A dispute among family members on Sanger Lane, involving a forgotten backpack, was said to have occurred.
    • Two residents of a mobile home on Ollis Road were said to be yelling and cussing at one another at 9:09 p.m. It was noted that they were “likely to be intoxicated.“
    • A report for fourth-degree domestic assault was pending following a fight between family members on Sanger Lane said to be over a misunderstood text message.
  • Saturday, June 12
    • Around midnight an Indian Creek Road resident complained that two people were shining flashlights through his windows.
    • While cleaning a trailer used as a residence a caller from O“Brien stated that she found several IDs and a Social Security card which she believed to be stolen.
    • A Pine Tree Way resident, 14, was lodged at the Juvenile Justice Center in Grants Pass on charges of fourth-degree assault and being beyond parental control.
    • A vehicle was reported stolen from where it had been left on a BLM road in the 7000 block of Takilma Road.
    • Two vehicles racing recklessly around Lake Selmac at 7:31 p.m. generated a complaint.
    • At 11:25 p.m. three callers reported that someone was being beaten, and that a crowd had gathered on River Street at Hussey Avenue.
  • Sunday, June 13
    • Someone was walking around inside the fence at Illinois Valley Building Supply on Caves Hwy., a caller said, although the business was closed. The trespasser was identified as the store manager, and all was OK.
    • A man allegedly was assaulted in the 900 block of Caves Hwy. in front of the complainant“s children.
    • On Hogue Drive, former tenants continued to drive by the residence and spin their vehicle tires, throwing gravel everywhere, a caller said.
    • Jordan Krouse, 17, was cited on charges of interfering with a 911 call and two counts of harassment after his mother reported him “out of control“ on W. River Street at 10:11 p.m.
  • Monday, June 14
    • An Aries Lane resident complained that his neighbor“s dog left its yard and attacked his dog.
    • Two chainsaws were reported stolen from the deck of a Fir Drive residence.
    • After a report of a man rifling through vehicles on the parking lots at Sterling Savings Bank, Cave Junction Post Office and Western Plaza, Christopher Alonzo Buckley, 22, was lodged in county jail on charges of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, and third-degree theft. Buckley also was cited on a warrant charging FTA on an original second-degree theft charge.
    • On Rockydale Road at 11:56 a.m., a driver phoned to complain that the driver of a red Toyota pickup truck attempted to pass him on the right side. The call-taker noted that it appeared that both drivers were engaged in “road rage“-type behavior.
    • A caller complained that transients had returned to a camp off N. Sawyer Avenue. He said that his family was threatened by one of the trespasser“s dogs as they walked on the roadway.
    • Tawnni Danielle Ivers, 18, was cited on a charge of speeding (84 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Reeves Creek Road at 6:43 p.m.
    • Information was given to deputies concerning the driver of a white Dodge Charger with a “police-type hat“ in the rear window, who possibly is attempting to portray himself as a law enforcement officer.
    • Following a call from a Downtown Cave Junction establishment that a woman refused to show ID and refused to leave, she was detained by an officer. It was stated that the woman slipped out of handcuffs, kicked open the door of the patrol car after a deputy unlocked it to check on her, and attempted to flee. It was stated that she fell, resulting in a facial laceration.
    • In connection with the preceding incident, a “combative“ Honey June Walsh, 27, was cited on charges of second-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct and taken to Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass.
  • Tuesday, June 15
    • Theft of a purse containing $20 cash and IDs from an unsecured vehicle parked at Art“s Red Garter Saloon was reported.
