Community Christian Academy celebrates commencement of two

A commencement ceremony was held Wednesday evening, June 2, in the main sanctuary at Community Bible Church in Cave Junction to celebrate the two 2010 graduates from Community Christian Academy (CCA).

They are Nataliya Olehivna Akif“yeva and Hanna Karoline Phlaum.

Akif“yeva, originally from the Ukraine, who transferred to CCA in September 2007, has been an Honor Roll student consistently during the past three years.

She graduated one full year early, with a 3.8 grade-point average (GPA), and plans to pursue a nursing degree at Rogue Community College.

Additionally, Nataliya has earned CCA“s Scripture Award for having memorized the entire Book of 1 Thessalonians, and she earned the academy“s coveted Academic Excellence Award.

Phlaum also transferred to CCA in 2007 and has been an Honor Roll student this year. She graduated with a 3.5 GPA, earning CCA“s Scripture Award for memorizing all of 1 Thessalonians.

Hanna, who averaged 93.02 percent for her 3.5 GPA, was in a general studies course.

Nataliya, who averaged 96.51 percent for her 3.8 GPA, was in a college preparatory course.
