  • Wednesday, May 26
    • Theft of gasoline and damage to a vehicle parked on N. Hussey Avenue was reported.
    • On Warren Road a caller stated that someone was working with a bulldozer and chainsaw at a property posted as a former meth lab.
    • Someone reported that his pickup truck had been stolen from a Downtown Cave Junction location. Later, the caller“s grandson advised that the complainant had forgotten that he“d driven a different car.
    • Shortly after 7 p.m. a Schumacher Street resident stated that an intoxicated man was pounding on a door of a neighboring residence and screaming.
    • Around 9:30 p.m. on Schumacher Street, Jacob Shane Phlaum, 19, was arrested on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, third-degree attempted escape and interfering with a police officer. He was lodged in Josephine County Jail in Grants Pass.
  • Thursday, May 27
    • Tony Dwayne Patterson, 22, was cited on a charge of speeding (63 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Burch Drive.
    • Samantha Anne Taylor, 21, was cited on a charge of speeding (70 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Lone Mountain Road at 12:41 p.m.
    • Billy Jack Biggs, 33, was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license, and warned for not having insurance. The vehicle was impounded.
    • Following a traffic stop in Kerby, Jennifer Jo Brown, 45, was cited on a warrant charging failure to appear (FTA) on an original charge of driving under the influence of an intoxicant.
    • Someone had opened her front door, but ran away when the front porch light was turned on, a N. Junction Avenue resident stated.
    • A “verbal altercation“ between a man and woman on O“Brien Road prompted a concerned call at 11:15 p.m. When a deputy arrived, the combatants had “worked out their differences“ and turned in for the night.
  • Friday, May 28
    • Two men were contacted on Lister Street and warned for public consumption of alcohol. Four cans of Steel Reserve malt liquor were poured onto the ground.
    • A house on S. Kerby Avenue reportedly was ransacked. It appeared that nothing was taken.
    • On Lakeshore Drive, Anthony M. Hensley, 37, was cited on a Salem municipal warrant charging FTA on a traffic charge.
  • Saturday, May 29
    • Loud music and talking from a residence on W. River Street were complained about at 12:22 a.m. Those contacted were having a birthday party, they said, and took their festivities indoors.
    • A Gamay Drive resident complained at 12:26 a.m. about loud music from a party nearby.
    • After a 5:30 a.m. call for assistance on N. Junction Avenue, Cedar Raymond Jermoe Yandell, 26, was lodged in county jail on charges of fourth-degree domestic assault, domestic menacing and strangulation.
    • Someone set fire to a vehicle on Ken Rose Lane, a caller stated at 8:26 a.m. One witness stated that the person responsible for the fire left the scene in a white minivan.
    • A number of street signs were reported uprooted along Lakeshore Drive.
    • A caller stated that a sweat-suit clad woman with an unleashed dog at the athletic track behind Lorna Byrne Middle School screamed obscenities at the caller“s children and told them to take their own, leashed dogs away.
    • A Happy Camp Road caller complained about a neighbor shooting a rifle.
    • Theft of a notebook computer from a vehicle parked on Eight Dollar Mountain Road was reported.
    • A caller said that his girlfriend“s mother was harassing him via text messages.
    • Rodney Blake Sanders, 44, was lodged in county jail on charges of attempted first- and fourth-degree domestic assault, two counts of domestic menacing and three counts of menacing following a call from Kerby at 6:05 p.m.
    • Jennifer Lynn Riggs, 23, was cited on a charge of speeding (62 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood hwy. at Burch Drive at 10:24 p.m.
    • Danny Lee Smith, 61, was cited on a charge of DWS on Redwood Hwy. at Westside Road at 10:46 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 30
    • On S. Kerby Avenue, a caller stated that neighbors were outside playing football, riding children“s bicycles and yelling at 2:41 a.m.
    • Following an altercation on S. Kerby Avenue reported at 3:32 a.m., Joshua Lee Burns, 27, was cited on a warrant charging failure to comply with terms of probation.
    • A civil disagreement between family members concerning a deceased relative“s belongings was checked on Rockydale Road.
    • Washington state driver Tarun Khera, 27, was cited on a charge of speeding (62 mph in a 45 mph zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 12:08 p.m.
    • Children playing with a phone in the 9000 block of Takilma Road were counseled about the misuse of 911.
    • A hang-up call from a Dick George Road residence was attributed to kids playing with a telephone.
  • Monday, May 31
    • Around 2 a.m. a man reported that he“d been assaulted at a residence on Hummingbird Road. The resident said that a “nutty“ guy was on his property who wanted to kill him. The information was logged.
    • Calling back at 3:12 a.m., a man who“d reported an assault earlier said that a man with a shotgun had arrived at his residence, intent upon killing him.
    • Three people in a “beater“ motor home were asked to leave the parking lot at St. Patrick of the Forest Catholic Church on W. River Street where they“d been camped overnight. They said they“d leave after repairs were made to the vehicle.
    • A Crooks Creek Road resident said that his mother was causing problems, and he wanted her to leave. Both were contacted, determined to be intoxicated and advised of their options.
  • Tuesday, June 1
    • A vehicle reported stolen from Crescent City, Calif. was recovered near Page Mountain Sno-Park some 60 feet down a hillside from Happy Camp Road.
    • A caller reported theft of a check from his vehicle while it was parked in the 200 block of N. Redwood Hwy.
    • Leanna Marie Long, 27, was cited on a charge of alcohol on public premises at Jubilee Park at 1:47 p.m.
    • Cindy Joann Ward, 49, was cited on a charge of no operator“s permit on W. Watkins Street at 1:49 p.m.
    • Although a transient camp on N. Sawyer Avenue was empty when a deputy checked, it was noted that the camp appeared to be lived in.
    • A 19-year-old man wanted to pursue charges against a woman who provided him with alcohol, which, he said, led to his arrest on the Wednesday prior.
    • A delivery driver reported being bitten on one calf by a pit bull on Honeybee Lane.
    • In Kerby, David B. Rich, 27, was lodged in county jail on a charge of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana after it was reported that he“d set fire to some of his belongings.
