Kudos for veterinarians
From Carol Crawford
Cave Junction
I thought it was nice that you had front page coverage in Illinois Valley News for the low-cost rabies vaccination clinic for dogs and cats offered by Dr. Dan Fiske, veterinarian in the May 12 issue.
However, you failed to mention that five other such clinics also were held during May. The series of clinics was organized by the Josephine County Public Health Dept. The other participating veterinarians were Dr. Michael Mucha, Dr. Joe Hoelzle, Dr. Zack Robinson, and Dr. Beth Kraft. She offered two clinics. And Kraft and Robinson also offered rabies vaccine for equines.
Overall, more than 100 animals were vaccinated.
So, I think you should acknowledge all our hard-working Illinois Valley vets for doing their part to help keep our animals safe and healthy. And the health department for being “pro-active“ in looking out for the best interests of its residents.
We want to hear from you!
