OSP nabs three on meth possession

Three people were arrested by Oregon State Police troopers early Saturday morning, May 15 after a traffic stop lead to the discovery of more than two pounds of methamphetamine concealed in their vehicle.
According to OSP Drug Enforcement Section (DES) Sgt. Jim Johnson, at approximately 4:30 a.m. a trooper stopped a 2006 Lincoln Navigator displaying California license plates northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 30 for a speed violation.
An OSP drug detection canine assisted during the stop and seizure of the estimated $65,000 worth of methamphetamine.
The vehicle“s driver, 32-year-old Salem resident Jose Navarro-Cerpas, was charged with unlawful manufacture, delivery and possession of a controlled substance, using the license of another person and furnishing false information to a police officer.
Also arrested on charges of manufacture, delivery and possession of a controlled substance were 30-year-old Edgar Navarro-Cerpas from Oakland, Calif. and 23-year-old Cynthia Delgadillo-Quintero, also from Oakland.
All three were lodged on drug-related charges and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) holds were placed on them at the Jackson County Jail. They were taken into custody without incident. DES was assisted in the investigation by detectives from the OSP Criminal Investigations
Division, and detectives from the Rogue area Drug Enforcement team, Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team, and ICE.
The investigation is continuing, OSP said.
