Mining town hall set in GP

A town hall meeting regarding the pros and cons of reforming the 1872 mining law is set for Tuesday, May 25 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Anne G. Basker Auditorium in Grants Pass.

Scheduled speakers are Joel King, recently retired from the top post at the U.S. Forest Service Wild Rivers Ranger District; Jack Swift, Southern Oregon Resource Alliance vice chairman; and Ron Gibson and Hal Anthony from the Southwest Oregon Mining Association.
