I.V. vets offer rabies vaccination clinics

Veterinarians throughout Illinois Valley will provide rabies clinics in response to three foxes and one goat from the valley testing positive for the disease in recent weeks.
The vaccinations will be available for $15, with no additional visit fee, according to a Monday, April 12 press release from Josephine County Public Health Dept.
It is asked that only healthy pets be brought for the vaccine. The pets do not have to be current patients of the veterinarian, the public health office said, and no license checks will be performed at this time.
From 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 17, vaccines will be available at Dr. Michael Mucha“s Illinois Valley Veterinary Service at 102 Hogue Drive in Selma.
Also on April 17, vaccines will be available from 10 a.m. to noon at Dr. Joe“s Pet Hospital at 369 Caves Hwy. in Cave Junction.
At both locations, no appointment is necessary, but only dogs and cats will be admitted for vaccinations.
Vaccines also will be available in O“Brien April 17, as Dr. Kraft“s Mobile Clinic will be parked at the Country Store at 33096 Redwood Hwy. Small animals will be seen from 10 a.m. to noon; larger animals will be seen from noon to 3 p.m. by appointment. Phone 541-218-7297 for appointments.
Dr. Kraft“s Mobile Clinic will be at O“Brien Country Store Saturday, May 1 for the same hours as April 17.
On Saturday, May 8, vaccines will be available from 10 a.m. to noon at Crossroads Animal Hospital at 421 Caves Hwy. in Cave Junction. Only dogs, cats and ferrets will be accepted.
Dr. Zachary Robinson“s Mobile Clinic will be at Illinois Valley Grange Hall, 3673 Holland Loop, on May 8. Small animals can be treated from noon to 5 p.m. Equine appointments can be made for that morning by phoning 541-592-2338.
