  • Thursday, March 11
    • A caller stated that someone threw some sort of malodorous, brown liquid substance into the interior of her car, causing some $5,500 worth of damage.
    • Following contact at Jubilee Park, Corey Rei General, 30, was lodged in Josephine County Jail in Grants Pass on charges of failure to appear (FTA) on original charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and damage to property.
    • Lyle Edward Doering, 63, was cited on a charge of failure to renew vehicle registration. He was warned for an obscured license plate and failure to signal a turn on N. Redwood Hwy. at 5:51 p.m.
    • James Leonard Guthrie Jr., 18, was cited on a charge of careless driving on S. Redwood Hwy. at 6:53 p.m.
    • Someone reported that a woman, driving a small, blue passenger vehicle and who appeared to be “on drugs,“ was chasing the caller“s family as they drove on Dick George Road and Holland Loop around 7:18 p.m.
    • Some sort of disturbance was investigated in the 29000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 7:58 p.m. Subsequently, Paul Cleveland Cooper, 42, was cited on a Crescent City, Calif. warrant charging dangerous drugs.
    • Karen Kelly Blair, 49, was cited on charges of driving with a suspended license (DWS), and open container of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle on Rockydale Road at 10:41 p.m.
    • Someone attempted to gain entry to a residence in the 23000 block of Redwood Hwy., a complainant said at 5:44 a.m. The break-in caused some $100 damage.
  • Friday, March 12
    • At 1:08 a.m. an OSP trooper began pursuit of a red Subaru said traveling on Redwood Hwy. outbound from Grants Pass at around 105 mph. The vehicle crashed in trees near the base of Hay“s Hill and the driver, who was believed armed due to the discovery of ammunition in the front seat, fled.
    • Christian C. Vetter, 20, was cited on a charge of speeding (50 mph in a 30 mph zone), and no operator“s permit on Redwood Hwy. at Rockydale Road at 12:08 a.m.
    • A caller reported theft of a vehicle at 7:56 a.m. The vehicle“s owner had been advised by OSP that the vehicle had been the subject of a pursuit the night before. (What“!)
    • On Aries Lane a man complained that his neighbor struck the rear of his vehicle with his car; behaved in a hostile manner; and flicked a cigarette through the passenger window at his wife. The incident was referred to the district attorney.
    • A late night landlord/tenant dispute was reported on Warren Road.
    • Contacted in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. in Kerby, Dennis Bellikka, 52, was cited on a charge of violation of a court order, and lodged in county jail.
    • It appeared that someone not supposed to be at a residence on Dick George Road had forced entry through the front door. When deputies arrived, someone fled out a rear window, but officers could not locate him.
    • Following a report of a disturbance on Naue Way, Nicolas Biggs, 23, was cited on charges of felony fourth-degree domestic assault and misdemeanor fourth-degree domestic assault. He was lodged in county jail.
    • It was reported that a driver had struck two vehicles with his car while leaving the parking lot at Junction Inn at 10:15 p.m. Witness statements led a deputy to later cite Victoria Jeanette Culbertson, 34, on a charge of failure to leave name at the scene of an accident.
  • Saturday, March 13
    • During a traffic stop on Kerby Mainline Road at 12:15 p.m., and after she had admitted to drinking, Regina Leann Elliot, 19, was cited on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.
    • After losing control of a vehicle on Redwood Hwy. at Eight Dollar Mountain Road at 2:14 a.m., Richard D. Fromke, 23, was cited on charges of DUII, careless driving, and open container. Fromke provided a blood-alcohol content of .16. His vehicle was impounded.
    • At 8:16 a.m. a man reported having been pushed and slapped by two people in the 400 block of S. Redwood Hwy. the night before. A harassment report was pending.
    • A caller stated that two men were removing items from a residence on Dick George Road. Due to the condition of the residence, a deputy noted, it was difficult to determine if any further damage had been done.
    • An intoxicated woman was said to be wandering in the vicinity of Kerby High Pines Trailer Park at 7:45 p.m. When contacted, a man said that the woman had walked into his residence, and during a verbal disturbance, she was removed.
    • At 9:43 p.m. a suspicious vehicle was seen parked on a driveway of a Dick George Road residence where there has been recent, repeated trespassing.
  • Sunday, March 14
    • At 5:03 a.m. a man phoned to say that he“d “got his ass kicked“ on N. Redwood Hwy. around midnight and had spent several hours unconscious near the Cave Junction Post Office. He was treated at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass for “obvious assault injuries.“
    • Said to be “extremely intoxicated“ a man was pacing in front of a residence in Kerby, demanding his dog and making threats toward a woman who has a “no contact“ order against him. Dennis Jay Bellikka, 52, was cited on a charge of court order violation and lodged in county jail.
    • On Dick George Road, a citizen said that it appeared people were removing cars from a residence where no one was supposed to be.
    • Neighbors reported that four pit bull dogs were loose on Aries Lane, and that they had chased children. The information was to be referred to Animal Control.
  • Monday, March 15
    • Theft of a vehicle from a residence on Dick George Road was reported.
    • On Westside Road a resident reported that his home was burglarized overnight. Taken were two guns and a small amount of cash.
    • A man who claimed to be living in his car in Williams was lingering near Dome School around 11 a.m. Some folks had an “uneasy feeling“ about the guy, who hung out while watching kids on the playground.
    • Somebody reported that someone in a white, full-size pickup truck took a spin through some vacant lots between Gamay Court and Hanby Lane near 11:20 a.m.
    • “Semi-automatic“ gunfire was heard at the east end of Pine Cone Drive, a caller said at 4:17 p.m.
    • The new owner of a residence on N. Old Stage Road said that the former owners had already stolen the dishwasher, and it appeared that they were trying to steal the hot tub too.
    • A Robinson Road resident complained that bullets from a “high-caliber“ weapon fired from across Sucker Creek whizzed over his head around 6:15 p.m.
    • California driver Winter Pearl Downing, 20, was cited on a charge of speeding (80 mph in a 55 mph zone) and failure to carry proof of insurance on Redwood Hwy. near Kerby at 10:47 p.m.
    • Danny Le Smith, 60, was cited on a charge of DWS in the 29000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 11:02 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 16
    • Barbara Braunstein, 64, was cited on a charge of following too close on Redwood Hwy. at Lakeshore Drive at 7:48 a.m.
    • On E. River Street, Jayton T. Spangler, 14, was cited on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (PCS)/less than an ounce of marijuana.
    • An employee at BiMor Tobacco Outlet was concerned because two men asked her how much money was in the till, and leaned across the counter to look.
  • Wednesday, March 17
    • A caller reported that a man in camouflage hat and jacket was looking into mailboxes on Draper Valley Road at 11:30 a.m. A deputy observed a mail carrier delivering later on, and figured that the man likely got no mail.
    • At 6:49 p.m. it was reported that water (high caliber) was shooting from a hole in the ground in the 23000 block of Redwood Hwy. in Kerby near construction of a new water line. A public works employee was notified.
    • On Addison Lane a caller complained that three youths were riding bikes that were not street legal on the roadway.
    • A disorderly man who was “being vulgar“ to a bartender was trespassed from Art“s Red Garter Saloon following a call at 12:15 a.m.
