More than 100 people feasted on spinach-mushroom quiche or lasagna dinners and scrumptious desserts.
Comedienne Deb Murphy entertained and emceed, with acts ranging from poetry and folk songs to political satire and essays like Kelpie“s Tea Party 2.0.
Talented artists from Illinois Valley included “Grammy Tammy“ Whittaker singing a poem, Carol Valentine strumming a singalong, and a Snow Fairy serenade.
Helpful advice varied from “Flower Remedy“ therapy from Susan Gustafson to a Haiku a day keeps the crazies away. Performances ranged from exhilarating tapdancing to a gracefully undulating belly dancer.
Marjorie Reynolds demonstrated an 18-move Tai Chi routine that she teaches.
Libby Goines played guitar and piano, and coaxed the audience to chime in the chorus, “Let the Goddess take you in her arms“ in a touching tribute to Betsy Jacobs and Cathy Sweeney.
Lucky raffle winners took home CDs and books by local women artists.
The frolicking fund-raiser raised approximately $2,100 for Dome School.
