From our weekly issue dated March 10, 2010

Cave Junction resident Teresa Marie Hicks, 51, was arrested by a squad of deputies on charges of manufacture, distribution and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, said Josephine County Sheriff“s Office (JCSO).

She was arrested at her residence at 203 W. Millie St. and taken to county jail in Grants Pass, said JCSO.

The agency said that on March 6, Deputy George Gasperson, the city“s contract patrol officer, developed information that Hicks was in possession of methamphetamine. That information was turned over to a detective who wrote a search warrant for Hicks“ residence.

At 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 7, six JCSO patrol deputies and a detective served a search warrant at the Millie Street address and found Hicks home with her 19-year-old son. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately one once of meth, scales, packaging material, $1,040 in cash and a surveillance system, said JCSO.

The case was turned over to the district attorney.
