Wednesday, Dec. 2
- While checking for an injured deer on Lakeshore Drive, a multitasking deputy warned several motorists about infractions including speeding, failure to wear a seatbelt and expired license plate tags.
- On Rockydale Road a caller reported that sometime during the night a driver had somehow allowed a vehicle to leave the roadway, damaging two mailboxes and an antique dragsaw. The errant driver left no information.
- A Cave Junction man claimed that someone had stolen some 250 methadone pills from him.
- Corey Rei General, 29, was cited on W. River Street on a warrant charging failure to appear (FTA) on an original disorderly conduct charge.
- Peggy Jean Winderweedle, 70, was cited on a charge of speeding (57 in a 45 mph zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 5:21 p.m.
- A Caves Hwy. resident stated that several items were stolen from his garage.
- Unsuccessful attempts for two years to contact the no account writer of a “No Account” check were reported by a business owner in Cave Junction.
- Lyle Eugene Schwope, 56, was cited on a charge of speeding (61 in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Rockydale Road at 8:02 p.m.
- California driver Christopher Martin Spitznagel, 35, was cited on a charge of speeding (58 in a 45 mph zone) in the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 8:13 p.m.
- On Robinson Road, a man said that he fired warning shots when he was confronted in a threatening manner by a neighbor regarding ownership of firewood.

Thursday, Dec. 3
- A burglar alarm sounded at Illinois Valley Fire District Station 4 on Holland Loop at 9:39 a.m.
- Ryan Matthew Schaeffer, 23, was lodged in Josephine County Jail on charges of probation violation and contempt of court after his probation officer located a woman, who had a restraining order against Schaeffer, hiding in a bathroom at a Laurel Road residence.
- An Illinois Valley High School student was reported by school administrators as having been found in possession of marijuana.
- Following a dispute between family members on Holton Creek Road, a Kerby woman went to Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass complaining of injuries sustained when she was thrown from her residence. How she was thrown was not explained.

Friday, Dec. 4
- “Tremendous amounts” of car parts, including a bumper and a Jeep hubcap, littered a Holland Loop residence yard after someone allowed their vehicle to demolish a lengthy section of fence, causing $500 estimated damage. A report for “failure to leave name at the scene of an accident” was filed.
- A CHP officer noted that he was on Redwood Hwy. following a vehicle driven by a registered sex offender who had been in California -- outside of compliance with orders.
- No contact information was available for the owner of a purse found near a Cave Junction laundry.
- Theft of a generator from a Crest Drive residence was reported.
- Justin Ryan Hubbard, 25, was cited on a charge of VBR (speeding/61 in a 45 mph zone) in Downtown Cave Junction at 8:40 p.m.
- No reason was immediately discovered for an alarm at Evergreen Elementary School at 6:54 p.m.
- A woman on N. Boundry Avenue stated that her brother, who didn’t live there, refused to leave. No evidence of a crime was discovered; the man left for the evening.
- California driver Robert Francis Poole, 27, was cited on a charge of speeding (79 in a 55 mph zone) in the 22000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 7:51 p.m. He also was cited on a charge of failure to carry registration, and flagged as hostile to law enforcement.

Saturday, Dec. 5
- A caller stated at 2:31 a.m. that some people “got in her face” outside a Downtown Cave Junction establishment, and then boogied when she phoned 911.

Sunday, Dec. 6
- A horse was said to be running loose on Eight Dollar Mountain Road at 11:44 a.m.
- On N. Hussey Avenue a woman said that her former mother-in-law entered her residence uninvited and began screaming at all present. It was requested that the woman be warned against trespassing at the home.

- On E. River Street a woman said that her daughter’s ex-boyfriend had phoned, threatening to “f*** up their world.”
- A Cave Junction resident reported some $1,000 in fraudulent online purchases made with her credit card.
- Several county and U.S Forest Service signs on Road 40-08-23 were decapitated with a chainsaw, a caller said. He took the signs home with him so that they would not be stolen, he said.

Wednesday, Dec. 9
- An administrator at IVHS reported that a female student had punched another girl’s face.
- On Dogwood Lane a woman said that her daughter was refusing to go to school.
- Two dogs loose on Aries Lane reportedly chased some children. Josephine County Animal Control was notified.
- In Downtown Cave Junction, Gregory Wayne Sampley, 57, was cited on a warrant charging FTA on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespass.
- Carole Renee Shloss, 48, was cited on a charge of speeding (70 in a 55 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Lakeshore Drive at 4:30 p.m.
- Several homeless people were contacted behind St. Matthias Episcopal Church because of a complaint about a dog at large.
- Someone set off a “stink bomb” in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 5:13 p.m., a caller said.
- Marvin Ray Stephens, 43, was cited on a charge of speeding (60 in a 45 mph zone) on Rockydale Road at 5:32 p.m.
- Ronald Jermoe Baron, 49, was cited on a charge of speeding (61 in a 45 mph zone) in the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 5:51 p.m.
- On Redwood Hwy. at Holton Creek Road, Jason Russell Otanez, 35, was cited on a charge of speeding (60 in a 45 mph zone).
- A S. Old Stage Road resident reported that her 15-year-old grandson and 10 other juvenile persons were drinking and using marijuana at her residence while she was at work. She requested that the call be logged for information.
- On Millie Street a caller stated that someone dressed all in black and identified as “The Squirrel” entered his residence without knocking.
- On Briar Lane a resident said because someone comes to her house night after night to pound on the windows, she has armed herself.
