JAB JOB - Josephine County Public Health Dept. will host an H1N1 vaccine clinic on Friday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 715 N.W. Dimmick St. in Grants Pass. The vaccine will be of the “inactive, injectable variety” suitable for adults and children. The vaccine is available to those persons within priority groups as outlined by Oregon State Public Health Dept. and the CDC. ACORN OCCASION - Abundant, easily stored and packed with nutrition, acorns have been an important food source for many cultures. Spiral Living Center, Lomakatsi Restoration Project and others will present an Acorn Festival on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Selma Community Center. H1N1 Q&A - What is it? How is it transmitted? What are the symptoms? What is the community concern? How is this different from other flu? PEACE PROGRAM - Social Justice Alliance will show "Rethink Afghanistan" 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the C.J. Library, 209 W. Palmer. The public is invited to this event and discussion with Hal Anthony of Veterans for Peace. Donations accepted.
