  • Sunday, Oct. 11
    • A Caves Hwy. resident reported the theft of a gold-colored Ford pickup truck.
    • At 6:38 p.m. two women in the 7900 block of Holland Loop were engaged in an argument, a caller stated. One of the women later said that the other fired a pistol at her after she asked about panning for gold in the area.
  • Monday, Oct. 12
    • Theft of medication was reported from a residence on Lakeshore Drive.
    • At 6:16 p.m. a man was said to be causing trouble and accusing others at a Kerby residence of stealing his hallucinogenic mushrooms.
    • A woman in the 25000 block of Redwood Hwy. was warned about her driving after neighbors complained.
    • Fraudulent use of a credit card was reported by a Selma resident.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 13
    • During a domestic dispute on Gamay Court at 2:54 a.m., a man threatened to get a gun, a complainant said. When contacted, it was determined that the man was not a danger to himself or others.
    • A former tenant removed the washer, dryer, wood stove and composting toilet from a residence in the 36000 block of Redwood Hwy., someone complained.
    • Threatening graffiti was reported scrawled behind the DMV office in Cave Junction.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 14
    • Thieves took gasoline from a rental vehicle on N. Redwood Hwy. This was accomplished with the use of a garden hose, stolen from a nearby construction site. The hose was left behind.
    • A Holland Loop resident reported that an intoxicated driver had crashed into his fence. It was determined to be a civil matter.
    • Karen L. Parmely, 50, was cited on a charge of speeding (63 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Rockydale Road at 6:37 p.m.
    • On Redwood Hwy. in Selma, Juanita Suezanne Morgan, 49, was cited on a charge of speeding (58 mph in a 45 mph zone) and warned for failure to carry (FTC) current proof of insurance.
    • An O’Brien Road resident stated that she heard a gunshot near her barn, and saw a car that was driven away rapidly. Blood was found on the road, and the caller thought that the shooters were poaching deer. No blood test was conducted.
  • Thursday, Oct. 15
    • A large oak tree was said to be impeding traffic in the 7000 block of Takilma Road at 9:25 a.m.
    • Samantha Kay Lewin, 42, was cited on a charge of speeding (58 mph in a 45 mph zone) and warned for FTC current proof of insurance on Redwood Hwy. near Rockydale Road at 5:02 p.m.
    • On N. Redwood Hwy at 5:37 p.m., Hannah Eden Miller, 29, was cited on a charge of VBR/speed (60 mph in a 45 mph zone).
    • In the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy., Frank Anthony Calafiore, 51, was cited on a charge of speeding (63 mph in a 45 mph zone) and warned for unreadable registration tags.
    • Robin Decker, 48, was cited on a charge of speeding (58 mph in a 45 mph zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. near River Street at 5:57 p.m.
    • On Waldo Road, Lea Terese Berleau, 45, was cited on a charge of speeding (68 mph in a 55 mph zone).
    • North Carolina driver Joshua Albin Swindell, 29, was cited on N. Redwood Hwy. on a charge of speeding (58 mph in a 45 mph zone).
    • Red-and-blue flashing lights continued, as at 7:12 p.m. in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy., Bradley Jay Vincent, 54, was cited on a charge of failure to signal a lane change.
    • Patrick Francis Pepiot, 63, was cited on a charge of speeding (61 mph in a 45 mph zone) on S. Redwood Hwy. at 7:20 p.m.
    • Stephen Phillip Bonde, 43, was cited on a charge of speeding (65 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Eight Dollar Mountain Road.
    • Deputies continued to “light ‘em up,” as on S. Redwood Hwy. at 4:25 p.m. Lisa Anne Sherier, 33, was cited on a charge of speeding (60 mph in a 45 mph zone) and warned for expired registration and FTC proof of insurance.
    • At mile marker 32 on Redwood Hwy., Steven Victor Deraita, 59, was cited on a charge of speeding (61 mph in a 45 mph zone).
    • California driver Kyle Blaire Cunningham, 35, was cited on a charge of VBR/speeding (65 mph in a 45 mph zone) on S. Redwood Hwy. at 8:57 p.m.
    • Near O’Brien General Store a dead deer was reported on the roadway at 10:29 p.m. The animal was removed.
    • Mark F. Dowd, 50, was cited on a charge of speeding (66 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. in the 34000 block at 10:50 p.m.
    • At 11:49 p.m. in the 21000 block of Redwood Hwy., David John Epping Fate, 42, was cited on a charge of speeding (67 mph in a 55 mph zone).
  • Friday, Oct. 16
    • Debra J. Spencer, 50, was cited on Redwood Hwy. near Lakeshore Drive on a charge of speeding (59 mph in a 45 mph zone).
    • At 12:24 a.m. David William Neal Stockton, 37, was cited in Selma on a charge of speeding (65 mph in a 45 mph zone).
    • John Cole Bearsto, 22, was cited on a charge of speeding on Redwood Hwy. at Draper Valley Road at 12:42 a.m. It was noted that he was traveling 60 mph in a 45 mph zone.
    • Also in Selma, Salvatore Raymond Realmuto, 23, was cited on a charge of speeding (61 mph in a 45 mph zone). He blamed a faulty speedometer.
