  • Wednesday, Sept. 30
    • Three 2-square-foot plastic bins, minus the spare bolts and nuts contained within, were reported stolen from a business in the 31000 block of Redwood Hwy.
    • A woman in rural Cave Junction reported that her husband assaulted her after she returned from the hospital. He has since left the state, she stated.
    • At 4:55 p.m. a complainant stated that a “crazy woman” had damaged his side-view mirror on Hays Cut Off Road.
    • A Takilma Road resident said that someone used her information to obtain Internet voice mail services.
    • Two people were warned against trespassing in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy. of Downtown Cave Junction.
    • Timothy Charles Paks, 42, was cited on a charge of speeding (61 mph in a 45 mph zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 7:06 p.m.
    • Just south of Cave Junction, Daniel Michael Heckman, 30, was cited on a charge of speeding (64 mph in a 45 mph zone) and warned for failure to carry current registration.
    • Following a traffic stop in Kerby, Andrew Wayne Reyes, 18, was cited on charges of DUII, speeding (72 mph in a 55 mph zone), driving uninsured and driving without an operator’s permit.
  • Thursday, Oct. 1
    • It was reported that fuel was stolen from school buses parked at Cave Junction Head Start on E. River Street.
    • A woman said that her son was twice assaulted as he walked on Deer Creek Road a couple of days ago.
    • Jamin Diaz, 34, was cited on a charge of speeding (53 mph in a 20 mph zone) on Thompson Creek Road at 2:47 p.m.
    • In Selma a woman said that a young man pointed a gun at her after she yelled at him regarding a previous incident.
    • During a traffic stop in Downtown Cave Junction, Michael Steven Tice, 57, was cited on a charge of failure to appear (FTA) on an original harassment charge.
    • An 11-year-old boy was transported to Three Rivers Community Hospital following a vehicle vs. bicycle accident on Old Stage Road.
    • A driver said that the operator of an older slate-blue Ford Bronco backed into her vehicle; stated that she didn’t have insurance and then drove away.
    • A caller stated that he had a human tailbone in his possession that he found in Takilma. He said that he was told in a dream to contact law enforcement about the bone because he thinks it means that the area should not be logged.
    • In the 300 block of Caves Avenue, a caller reported that someone attempted to gain entry to a building between 2 and 3 a.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 2
    • An anonymous caller, “concerned for the safety of other law-abiding citizens,” reported the name of a man who drives to work without a driver license.
    • Neal Francis White, 58, was lodged in Josephine County Jail on five warrants charging FTA on second-degree criminal trespassing.
    • Vincent Michael Shelton, 21, was cited on a charge of speeding (64 mph in a 45 mph zone) on S. Redwood Hwy. at 7:59 p.m.
    • Also on S. Redwood Hwy. Elizabeth Ann Reagen, 39, was cited on a charge of speeding (67 mph in a 45 mph zone); and Jacob Michael Fenske, 24, was cited on a charge of speeding (64 mph in a 45 mph zone).
  • Saturday, Oct. 3
    • At Jubilee Park in Cave Junction at 3:27 p.m. Phillip Yves Fraser, 54, was cited on a charge of having alcohol on public premises.
    • Scott Eugene Domine, 46, was cited on a charge of violation of the basic rule (VBR)/speeding (57 mph in a 45 mph zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 4:42 p.m.
    • Norma Rae Sheetz, 53, was cited on a charge of speeding (60 mph in a 45 mph zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 5:02 p.m.
    • South of Cave Junction at 7:26 p.m., John Edward Johann, 42, was cited on a charge of speeding (63 mph in a 45 mph zone).
    • A Lakeshore Drive resident said that his home had been ransacked, and his gun and dog stolen. He suspected his ex-girlfriend.
  • Sunday, Oct. 4
    • Rachel Leigh Bruni, 31, was cited on a charge of speeding (60 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. in the 24000 block.
    • North of CJ at 9:54 p.m. Brien Paul Roland Charbonneau was cited on a charge of speeding.
  • Monday, Oct. 5
    • Theft of an iPod and other items from a locked vehicle on Wells Drive was reported.
    • A Caves Hwy. resident reported that a check had been forged, removing money from his account.
    • A purse was reported found behind Immanuel United Methodist Church.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 6
    • A caller reported theft of a black, leather purse from an establishment in Downtown Cave Junction. The purse contained items including her cell phone. She stated that when she sent a text message to her phone asking for the return of the purse, someone replied, asking if there was a reward.
    • Theft of some $1,000 cash, 220 Vicodin tablets and a half-ounce of medical marijuana from a Kerby residence was reported.
    • Theft of items from a residence on S. Old Stage Road was reported.
    • Phillip Earl Skundrick, 54, was cited for FTA on an original charge of first-degree theft.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 7
    • Tracy Nicole Losey, 18, was cited on a charge of speeding (39 mph in a 25 mph zone) on E. River Street at 4:11 p.m.
    • Also in the vicinity of E. River Street, Crystal Suerose Stewart, 19, said to have been traveling at 35 mph in a 25 mph zone, was cited on a charge of speeding.
    • Matthew Lawrence Johnson, 18, was clocked on N. Redwood Hwy. traveling at 64 mph in a 45 mph zone, and he was cited on a charge of speeding.
    • On N. Redwood Hwy. at 5:35 p.m., Maurice Earl Versteeg, 51, was cited on a charge of speeding (59 mph in a 45 mph zone).
    • At 7:23 p.m. Sommer Sunday Turner, 36, was cited on Waldo Road on a charge of speeding (67 mph in a 55 mph zone).
    • Charles William David, 56, was cited in the 34000 block of Redwood Hwy. on a charge of speeding (66 mph in a 55 mph zone).
    • On Redwood Hwy. near Rockydale Road, David Jonathan Manshardt, 22, was cited on a charge of speeding (64 mph in a 45 mph zone).
    • On S. Redwood Hwy. Hwa Mei Keller, 55, was cited on a charge of speeding (59 mph in a 45 mph zone).
    • A caller on White Schoolhouse Road pointed to footprints in her freshly painted deck as proof of a prowler that she’d reported earlier.
    • Kenya Leigh Bell, 33, was cited on a charge of speeding on S. Redwood Hwy. at 9:43 p.m.
    • Leon Ramon Ireland, 27, was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license (DWS) on Redwood Hwy. at Pugetville Road. The vehicle was impounded.
  • Thursday, Oct. 8
    • German citizen Phillipp K. Kirschenhofer, 23, was cited on charges of speeding (87 mph in a 55 mph zone) and driving without an operator’s permit at the base of Hay’s Hill at 2:50 p.m.
    • Paul Thomas Allen, 53, was cited on Old Stage Road on charges of VBR in a school speed zone and driving without insurance.
    • A business owner complained that she and her husband were threatened outside her store on N. Redwood Hwy. by people who left on motorcycles.
    • Someone had removed bricks from a building on S. Redwood Hwy. and threw them in the gully out back, a caller said. Also, there was a continuing problem with transient persons sleeping on the porch and urinating on the property.
    • Theft of several items from a garage on Rockydale Road was reported by a man who gave a good description of the burglar.
    • A Cave Junction woman said that her former landlord was depositing trash at her new residence from her old residence that she had not cleaned before relocating. The former tenant was warned regarding trespassing at the landlord’s property.
    • On N. Redwood Hwy. at 5:23 p.m. Michael J. Tubbs, 27, was cited on a charge of speeding (60 mph in a 45 mph zone).
    • Contacted on N. Hussey Avenue, Michael Adam Massey, 29, was lodged in Josephine County Jail on a probation violation charge.
    • A caller stated that he heard a vehicle’s horn honking “in the mountains” above his home. Turned out to be a woman irate that her neighbor on Borica Drive was running a generator, and giving “voice” to her frustration with the noise.
    • Two prowlers were seen on a Reeves Creek Road property at 8:30 p.m.
    • Teresa Liberty McCarty, 18, was cited on a charge of speeding (79 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. near Selma at 9:51 p.m.
    • In north CJ on Redwood Hwy., Janet Lee Paul, 55, was cited on a charge of speeding (62 mph in a 45 mph zone).
    • After admitting to having lied about a relative being “rushed to the emergency room,” April Janis Bridgeford, 18, was cited on a charge of speeding (69 mph in a 45 mph zone).
