Workers warming the paint in preparation for road-striping activities had propane heaters operating on the vehicle, said one responder. The cause of the fire is under investigation.       A California woman died and three others were injured Sunday afternoon, Sept. 27 in a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 199 near the Oregon/California border at the south end of Illinois Valley, said Oregon State Police.

    • Motorcyclist dead after Redwood Hwy. accident

      Eagle Point resident Harrell Eugene Neal, 51, died Friday afternoon, Sept. 25 after his motorcycle crashed on Hwy. 199 on Hay’s Hill approximately 4 miles north of Selma, said Oregon State Police.
