The recent closure of the Goodwill Industries store in Cave Junction made it difficult for many to purchase clothing without having to drive to Grants Pass.
Fortunately, there’s a solution — Brandy’s Boutique in Western Plaza next to True Value Hardware. Brandy’s Boutique is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wayne Dussault opened the store, where Brandy Dobler works, Feb. 25 and recently the store celebrated its six-month anniversary.
Brandy worked at Amazon Queen, a plus-size women’s boutique. Although that business did not survive, the couple decided to try again. They already had an extensive clothing inventory, so when the space next to True Value Hardware became available, they moved in.
“We love the location,” said Brandy, “because we get all the women who are waiting while their husbands shop in True Value.”
Brandy’s Boutique is a quiet little mom-and-pop shop, carrying a wide variety of gift items and clothing in a variety of all sizes up to 4x, including new, used, and consignment.
“Young girls love getting ready for back-to-school, as we also carry sizes four on up,” explains Brandy. “So far we don’t sell men’s clothing, because there’s not enough room in our shop.”
“We have a wide assortment of jeans starting at $15 and up, and leggings starting at $10.”

Brandy’s Boutique also offers a unique selection of great gifts, from Indian Dreamcatchers to carved elephants. Purses, scarves, tote bags, and beautiful jewelry also are available at really low prices. There is even a dollar bowl of jewelry for young girls to rummage through.
Other gift items include perfumes, oils, candles, bath products, garden décor, dolls, and birdhouses. Brandy’s Boutique offers a little bit of everything.
All prices are negotiable, with low prices so people can afford to shop in Illinois Valley. Other options include layaway and gift cards.
