  • Wednesday, Aug. 19
    • A disturbance regarding retrieval of personal items from a Barnes Way location was reported.
    • In Cave Junction, a man was advised by his bank that an Internet company had attempted to withdraw funds from his account.
    • Someone cut their way through the fence at the Southern Oregon Sanitation Kerby Transfer Station and rummaged through the recycled paper, a caller stated.
    • Employees felt uneasy because of a man sleeping under the carport of a business in the 26000 block of Redwood Hwy.
    • A suitcase containing clothing for a woman and child was reportedly lost when it fell from the roof of a vehicle traveling on Hwy. 199 from Gasquet, Calif. to Rogue Valley/Medford International Airport.
    • On S. Junction Avenue, a vehicle hood was reportedly “keyed,” resulting in an estimated $700 worth of damage.
    • On Finch Road west of the green bridge, Roshana Ursula Hohm, 28, was cited on a charge of speeding (54 mph in a 40 mph zone). She also was cited on a warrant charging failure to appear (FTA) on a charge of DUII, and warned for failure to carry and present a license.
    • In connection with the previous incident, Jeremy N. Hurst, 26, was cited on a warrant charging FTA on a traffic offense charge.
    • Christopher Lincoln Evans, 21, was cited on a charge of speeding (53 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Hwy. 199 in Cave Junction at 10:16 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 20
    • Christopher Thomas Martin, 20, was cited on a charge of speeding (58 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Hwy. 199 in Selma at 1:21 a.m.
    • Some sort of alarm had been sounding for 40 minutes in the vicinity of Takilma and Dick George roads, a caller stated at 2:48 a.m.
    • Obscenity-laced graffiti had been spray-painted on Cave Junction City Hall and a business on W. Lister Street, a caller reported at 9:22 a.m.
    • Billy Jack Biggs, 32, was cited on a charge of speeding (68 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Hwy. 199 near O’Brien at 10 p.m.
    • Richard Henry Schaller Jr., 28, was charged with speeding (50 mph in a 30 mph zone) on Hwy. 199 at Hanby Lane at 10:02 p.m.
    • At 10:17 p.m., Jeannine Louise Williams Barnard, 48, was cited on a charge of speeding in the 27000 block of Hwy. 199.
    • Diane Marie Fehr, 23, was cited on a charge of speeding in the 24000 block of Hwy. 199 at 11:31 p.m. (69 mph in a 55 mph zone).
    • Tammy J. Huntamer, 19, was cited on a charge of speeding in the 23000 block of Hwy. 199 at 11:56 p.m. (67 mph in a 55 mph zone).
  • Friday, Aug. 21
    • Damp footprints indicated that someone had walked to the front doors and peered through the bedroom windows of a residence on S. Junction Avenue, a caller reported at 6:33 a.m.
    • Following a tip, some 15 mature marijuana plants were eradicated on U.S. Forest Service property out Eight Dollar Mountain Road.
    • Some $100 in coins was reported stolen from a Honeybee Lane residence.
    • A tenant at a Lakeshore Drive residence complained that her landlord was demanding the title and keys to her car. Turns out the car was his, and so she turned it over to him.
    • Todd Heiller, 18, was charged with speeding (84 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Rockydale Road at 6:56 p.m.
    • Nathan Munro, 33, was cited on a charge of failure to obey a traffic control device (Stop sign) on Holland Loop at 9:31 p.m.
    • Neil F. White, 58, was cited at 10:21 p.m. in Cave Junction on a charge of FTA on an original charge of second-degree criminal trespassing on Hwy. 199.
    • Said to be traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone caused Alfred Dean Wright, 53, to earn a citation on a charge of speeding at mile marker 25 on Hwy. 199 at 11:27 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 22
    • At 12:13 a.m. it was reported that a man in the 38000 block of Redwood Hwy. had suffered a blow to his head with a baseball bat. The man refused medical treatment, and was said to be “hostile.”
    • Steve Roscoe Dillon, 49, was cited on a charge of speeding (61 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Lakeshore Drive at 1:22 a.m.
    • Tyler Neil Wylie, 22, was cited on a charge of DUII at the 18-mile marker on Hwy. 199 at 1:38 a.m.
    • Theft of a white Jeep Grand Cherokee from a Downtown Cave Junction location was reported.
    • At a campsite near Seats Dam, Jackie Cooper, 34, was cited on a charge of identity theft and lodged in Josephine County Jail in Grants Pass. Aubrey Christian Grady, 32, was cited on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (PCS)/less than an ounce of marijuana.
    • Jason Adam Dahl, 18, was cited on a charge of speeding (58 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Hwy. 199 in Selma at 7:57 p.m.
    • At the 30-mile marker on Hwy. 199, Christopher Robin Daniel, 30, was cited on a charge of speeding (68 mph in a 55 mph zone).
    • Some gunfire was reported by Iron Way residents at 9:56 p.m.
  • Sunday, Aug. 23
    • A Cave Junction woman reported that her car was stolen and that her daughter was a run-away person at 9:38 a.m.
    • In the 23000 block of Hwy. 199 at 6:03 p.m., Donald Rogers, 28, was cited on a warrant charging fourth-degree assault.
    • Theft of tools, a GPS device, two cell phones, a wallet, portable DVD player and a Sponge Bob Squarepants DVD were reported stolen from a vehicle on W. River Street.
    • An Airport Drive resident reported an attempted burglary at 9:35 p.m.
  • Monday, Aug. 24
    • A caller from Selma, who lives in the last house on a private driveway at the end of a road at the top of a hill, said that someone drove to the residence just after 1 a.m. and asked for $5 worth of gas. The caller was shaken up by the incident.
    • A woman who’d reported her vehicle stolen said that her son recovered it from “tweekers with guns.” Further information wasn’t provided.
    • Someone cut his vehicle tire sidewalls, said an Addison Lane resident.
    • A report of fourth-degree assault was to follow an incident on Caves Avenue during which it was said that a woman suffered a painful eye and wounded knee after an attack.
    • On E. River Street a woman complained of repeated harassment by a man who claimed to be a forest ranger.
    • Harvey Herbert Peters, 49, was cited on a charge of fourth-degree assault stemming from an incident on Caves Avenue earlier.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 25
    • A Takilma Road resident said that someone tried to trade a silver coin for gas to get to town.
    • Neighbors were said to be racing up and down a shared right-of-way on Hays Cut Off, said a caller, and it bothered her.
    • A complainant said that entry was gained into cargo containers and a residence on Thompson Creek Road, but it was unknown what, if anything, had been taken.
    • A report for attempted burglary was made following an incident in the 2100 block of Rockydale Road.
    • A Hamilton Lane resident claimed that three people armed with large flashlights burst into his home and took from him an iPod and a new digital camera.
    • The sound of a loud argument was reported on Airport Drive at 8:24 p.m. Several minors were contacted and counseled regarding whatever conduct they’d been engaged in.
