Reps Hanna, Richardson, Maurer town hall Monday

Health-care legislation and recent state tax increases will be topics during a town hall meeting with District 3 Rep. Ron Maurer (R-Grants Pass), District 4 Rep. Dennis Richardson (R-Central Point) and Oregon House Minority Leader Bruce Hanna (R-Roseburg).
The public gathering on Monday, Aug. 31 is scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Grants Pass High School Performing Arts Center, 830 N.E. Ninth St.
Maurer will address the issue of how legislation passed during the 2009 session will affect cost and health-care delivery systems statewide. Hanna will focus on the effect of the tax and revenue increases passed during the session.
Maurer’s district includes most of Josephine County.
Richardson served on the budget-writing Ways and Means Committee and the Ways and Means Subcommittee on General Government and Ways and Means Subcommittee on Human Services during the 2009 legislative session.
Richardson’s district includes parts of Josephine and Jackson counties.
