MUSIC AL FRESCO - The Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce’s annual Concerts in the Park series will continue on Thursday, July 30 with Broadway Phil & the Shouters. The performance will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in Cave Junction’s Jubilee Park. The free event also features a 50/50 raffle. Hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks and other items are available from the snack bar operated by I.V. Little League.
TALENT TIME - Illinois Valley Lions Club again will host an amateur talent show during its annual Labor Day Festival for the community and all-comers in Jubilee Park. LIBRARY LINK - Opening day for the Illinois Valley Branch Library in Cave Junction is set for Sept. 5. “Avoid the rush,” says Josephine County Libraries Inc., and pick up a new borrow card at the Grants Pass Library, open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m.; Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. The GP site is behind the county courthouse.
BINGO BENEFIT - Boys & Girls Club of the Rogue Valley, which operates a program for Illinois Valley youth, will be the beneficiary of a Bingo At Bridgeview event on Friday, Aug. 15.
