Wednesday, July 1
- Following an incident on Dogwood Lane, where it was reported that a resident was struck with a bottle and shots fired, Paul Clayborne Guthrie, 21, was cited on a charge of second-degree assault and resisting arrest. Guthrie also was cited on two charges of third-degree assault, one charge of fourth-degree assault, second-degree theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
- A man who reported to clinic staff that he had a head injury, and that he was Jesus Christ, was transported from Siskiyou Community Health Center by American Medical Response to Three Rivers Community Hospital (TRCH) in Grants Pass.
- A driver stated that she was distracted after striking a butterfly with her vehicle, which is why she ran a “Stop” sign on Crooks Creek Road and ended up in a ditch around 11 a.m.
- A white Dodge pickup truck was reported stolen from a Laurel Road location.
- It was reported that a bottled water customer had since January failed to return empty bottles and a dispenser.
- On Patton Bar Road it was claimed that a resident holds parties for which admission is charged. The caller was concerned due to the holiday weekend.
- Fireworks, which “sounded more like explosives,” were said to be scaring animals on Lakeshore Drive at 9:39 p.m.
- A 14-year-old Kerby resident reported an altercation between family members at 10:54 p.m.

Thursday, July 2
- At 5:16 a.m. smoke was reported coming from a U.S. Mail box on W. Lister Street.
- Steven Michael Biggs, was cited on charges of expired registration and no insurance at Illinois River Forks State Park at 10 a.m. His vehicle was impounded.
- Two people were warned about camping at Illinois River Forks State Park at 12:30 p.m.
- In the 27000 block Hwy. 199, Daniel Brent Morrison, 47, was cited on warrants charging failure to appear (FTA) on charges of driving while suspended and assault.
- Contacted at Illinois River Forks State Park, Jeremiah Brian Ives, 33, was cited on an OSP warrant charging possession of a controlled substance (PCS/methamphetamine). Ives was lodged in Josephine County Jail on the warrant and additional charges of PCS/meth and PCS/less than an ounce of marijuana.
- A neighbor complained of a noisy generator on Borica Drive.
- Trucks that belong to a tree service contractor were speeding regularly on Lakeshore Drive, according to an anonymous caller.
- It was stated that a man had been on his Naue Way property and that numerous items were taken.
- Clinten Anthony Robertson, 17, was cited on a charge of speeding (37 mph in a 25 zone) on E. River Street at 4:59 p.m.
- Near Gold Canyon Drive on Hwy. 199, Edward L. Jenkins, 15, was cited on charges of speeding (74 mph in a 55 zone), no operator’s license and driving uninsured. He was warned regarding expired registration and careless driving. Jenkins’s vehicle was impounded.
- Linda Marie Soule, 68, was cited on a charge of failure to obey a traffic control device on S. Boundry at W. Lister Street at 5:17 p.m.
- At 5:53 p.m. a person was said to have initiated a “citizen’s arrest” against someone else in the 400 block of S. Redwood Hwy. Then they admitted that there’d been a mistake, apologized and left.
- At Lake Selmac a caller said that a man threatened to shoot him and threw rocks at his vehicle. Furthermore, the subject yelled at the complainant to “go back to California.”
- Following a report of a man shooting toward campers in the 2600 block of Lakeshore Drive, Steven Lee Reid, 52, was lodged in county jail on charges of assault on a public safety officer, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest, menacing and two counts of disorderly conduct.
- Two men were said to be fighting at a Downtown Cave Junction restaurant at 7:19 p.m.
- Contacted on Deer Creek Road, Jeris Richard Morrow, 29, was cited on a warrant out of Ashland charging FTA on a DUII charge.
- A dirt bike was found in a creek bed near milepost 34 on Hwy. 199.
- Larree O’Dell, 33, was cited on a charge of DWS and driving uninsured on S. Redwood Hwy. at 9:53 p.m.
- The driver of a California-plated vehicle was cited on charges of speeding (73 mph in a 55 zone) and DWS violation in the 31000 block of Hwy. 199 at 11:25 p.m.
- At milepost 34 on Hwy. 199, Kirk Scott Eugene, 49, was cited on a charge of speeding. Also, he was taken into custody on a peace officer’s hold and transported to TRCH.
- Campers at Lake Selmac were reported to be drinking, being loud and racing up and down the road. Also, they were fishing, a caller stated at 11:18 p.m.

Friday, July 3
- All road signs from Reeves Creek Road to Hwy. 199 on Lakeshore Drive were said to be down and damaged at 7:15 a.m.
- Ivan Benjamin Hall, 37, was cited for lack of a personal flotation device on Lake Selmac at 10:53 a.m.
- A stolen white Dodge pickup truck was found on its top without wheels about 1 mile off Kerby Mainline Road.
- Someone complained that the operator of a red motorcycle routinely exceeds the speed limit on Takilma Road mornings and evenings.
- Jessica Newell, 25, was cited on a charge of DWS at Illinois River Forks State Park, and her vehicle was impounded.
- At 3:28 p.m. Antoinette Latasha Alverson, 29, was cited on a charge of DWS in the 400 block of S. Redwood Hwy. Also, she was warned regarding no proof of insurance, expired registration, failure to signal and improper use of a seatbelt.
- Stacy Christine Lawson, 41, was cited on a charge of speeding (57 mph in a 45 zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 4:38 p.m.
- Following a traffic stop in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy., Corey R. General was cited on a warrant charging second-degree criminal mischief. General also was cited on charges of DWS and open container. A passenger also was cited on an open container charge.
- A report of first-degree criminal mischief was pending after a Finch Road resident complained that unknown persons had destroyed a gate and fencing to access a “party spot.” Beer cans were strewn everywhere, it was reported, and a bonfire had been left burning.
- At a campsite out Illinois River Road, Taylor Scott Willi, 18, was cited on a federal charge of minor in possession of alcohol.
- It was logged that a 5-year-old boy was bitten by a leashed dog on Ollis Road. The dog’s owner agreed to pay for medical bills.
- At 10:13 p.m. the driver of a white car, thought to be a Porsche 911, was said to have sped past campsites near Lake Selmac at approximately 100 mph. One headlight was out, a witness said.
- Kimberlee Ann Nunes, 45, was cited on a charge of speeding (75 mph in a 55 zone) on Hwy. 199 in the 18000 block at 11:03 p.m.

Saturday, July 4
- Paul James Maldonado, was cited to appear in Cave Junction Municipal Court on a charge of violation of the basic rule (VBR/speeding) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 3:33 p.m.
- Cynthia Diane Fontana, 40, was cited on a charge of speeding (58 mph in a 45 zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 3:46 p.m.
- A caller stated that in Downtown Cave Junction he witnessed the occupants of two vehicles engaged in a heated argument. A passenger in one vehicle brandished a gun, the caller said, and the two cars sped off, one chasing the other. The described vehicles could not be located.
- Justin D. Estremado, 25, was cited on a charge of speeding (60 mph in a 45 zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at Hanby Lane at 4:48 p.m.
- Ronald Lee Sedillo, 46, was cited on a charge of speeding (64 mph in a 45 zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 5:51 p.m.
- Matthew Donald Larson, 21, was cited on charges of illegal parking and driving uninsured on Illinois River Road at 6:31 p.m.
- Jose Rivera, 39, was issued a speeding citation on N. Redwood Hwy. at 8:37 p.m.
- Steven David Smith, 50, and Teri Lyn Paulsen, 44, were cited for lack of off-highway vehicle decals when contacted on their ATVs at Illinois River Forks State Park at 8:55 p.m.
- Thomas Jacob Raby, 26, was cited on a charge of PCS/marijuana and no motor vehicle insurance on Illinois River Road at 10:10 p.m. Four dogs were said running loose on Lakeshore Drive at 10:08 p.m., creating a traffic hazard.
- Benjamin Joseph Stewart, 21, was cited on Lakeshore Drive on charges of DWS, no insurance, and failure to carry registration.
- On Lakeshore Drive a man was warned regarding the use of illegal aerial fireworks. A metal pipe he’d been using to launch the fireworks was seized.

Sunday, July 5
- Some 100 head of cattle were said cruising toward Hwy. 199 on Illinois River Road at 9:52 a.m.
- On Davis Creek Road a man said that he discovered a pickup truck with large tires and four male occupants on his property. Recalling a recent burglary, he armed himself and gave chase. The pickup was driven through a gate. The complainant fired his weapon into the air. A passenger in the pickup bed fired twice at the pursuing vehicle. The caller was counseled about using his firearm rather than phoning 911.

Monday, July 6
- After working late in Downtown Cave Junction, a man said that at 12:27 a.m. he noticed a man with long, dark hair standing next to his vehicle. A neighbor stated that the dark-haired man had been “casing” the building for some time.
- On Takilma Road, a woman said that her husband was drunk and obnoxious. She and her daughter wanted him to leave.
- Roshana Ursula Hohn, 28, was cited on Rockydale Road on a warrant charging FTA on an original DUII charge. Her vehicle was impounded.
- A list of items reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Six-mile Campground was provided.
- Five checks mailed to different businesses never made it, said a Deer Creek Road caller. She suspected mail theft.
- Unhelmeted young people riding ATVs on BLM property off Thompson Creek Road prompted a concerned call at 2:20 p.m.
- A Selma resident said that a woman came onto his property and let the air out of his vehicle’s tires.
