Federal stimulus to fund Redwood Hwy. chip-seal
From our weekly issue dated July 08, 2009
A federal stimulus-funded chip-seal project of Hwy. 199 between the south city limits of Cave Junction and the California border will begin soon.
This project will last a total of some 10 days — one week to chip-seal and the rest for striping.
Traffic will be reduced to a single lane with flagger and pilot car during daytime hours. Copeland Paving of Grants Pass is the general contractor on this project.
Said Gary Leaming, ODOT project information officer, “This is about a $1 million project, paid for with federal stimulus dollars.”
