Wednesday, June 24
- Someone was said to be banging on the window of a guest room at the Junction Inn at 1:05 a.m., but no problem was reported by the guests.
- An anonymous caller reported seeing lions loose at Great Cats World Park, but the proprietor stated that the animals had not been out.
- Two people located in Downtown Cave Junction were warned against trespassing at I.V. Visitor Center.
- Lacy Wilson, 61, was cited on a charge of VBR (violation of the basic rule) on Hwy. 199 at Hanby Lane at 7:25 p.m. Her speed was noted as 57 mph in a 45 zone.
- A caller stated that the driver of a tan SUV had struck several ducks near Lake Selmac. The offender’s vehicle was not located, but one dead duck was.
- Stacie Lynn Davis, 21, was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license (DWS) in the 200 block of N. Redwood Hwy. at 7:39 p.m. Wilson, warned for no proof of insurance and failure to register her vehicle, saw her vehicle impounded.
- Jimmy Jay Miller, 35, of Warren Road, was cited on charges of domestic harassment, interfering with making of a report, and possession of a controlled substance (PCS) less than 1 ounce of marijuana.
- After hiking off Illinois River Road, a woman reported theft of her purse and other items from her vehicle.
- In the 37000 block of Redwood Hwy. someone said that someone else had planted approximately 16 marijuana plants on his property.
- An argument stemming from the planned adoption of a puppy was reported on Addison Lane at 10:53 p.m.

Thursday, June 25
- In the 3000 block of Dick George Road a complainant stated that the neighbors were tearing down a fence and yelling at his elderly father.
- A caller claimed that someone struck the front passenger-side fender on her car, but that she was uncertain where it might have happened.
- An intoxicated woman was reported driving toward Cave Junction from Elwood Drive. The complainant stated that an attempt was made to take the driver’s keys, but it was noted further that the car starts with a screwdriver.
- A disturbance on Addison Lane, reported at 11:42 a.m., was a continuation of the argument regarding acquisition of a puppy.
- Found intoxicated (listed blood-alcohol content .26) in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy., Jeremy Justin Beck, 29, was cited on a charge of violation of probation (PV) and lodged in Josephine County Jail, but not before threatening to find the arresting officer out of uniform and “beat his ass.”
- At 3:30 p.m., James George Milner, 71, was cited on a charge of speeding (70 mph in a 55 zone) on Hwy. 199 at Draper Valley Road.
- On Lakeshore Drive between 4:16 and 5:48 p.m. Donald David Burrow, 22; John Wesley Metcalf, 22; Melinda Marie Baines, 47; Don Cliff Jones, 41; Scott Alan Butts, 38; and Lee A. McLearn, 57, were cited on a charges of speeding in a 20 mph zone.
- A transient person was warned against trespassing on property in the 2000 block of Laurel Road.
- Laurel Denise Glenn, 50, was cited on charges of speeding (37 mph in a 25 zone) and DWS on E. River Street at 6:22 p.m.
- Gena Britt Grizzard, 35, was cited on a charge of speeding (57 mph in a 45 zone) on N. Redwood Hwy.
- Seven area rugs were reported stolen from a Thompson Creek Road home.
- A deputy strolled through Jubilee Park during the weekly I.V. Chamber of Concert-sponsored concert.
- A caller stated that persons seen leaving a Lakeshore Drive residence in a red Honda Civic had just burgled the house.
- A wallet and cash stashed under a mattress were reported stolen by a rural Cave Junction resident.
- Colleen Marie Horton, 51, was cited on a charge of speeding (61 mph in a 45 zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Glendon Road.
- Brittany E. St. John, 22, was cited on a charge of speeding (69 mph in a 45 zone) on N. Redwood Hwy.
- Confusion about an advertisement for “free property” in an unnamed publication was said to be the reason why a dozen people arrived at a Kerby Avenue site at 9:21 p.m. and began removing items.
- Following a report of some kind of altercation on S. Junction Avenue at 11:07 p.m., Jade Charleton Yandell, 19, was cited on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol (MIP).

Friday, June 26
- Dogs barking in the wee hours of the morning and obscene phone calls were the subject of a concerned call from a Caves Hwy. resident at 11:08 a.m.
- Extra night-time patrol was requested for area fireworks stands.
- A 15-year-old girl was listed as a run-away from her Westside Road residence.
- A bearded man in a red jacket reportedly was throwing rocks at passing vehicles in the 200 block of N. Redwood Hwy.
- Sherry Louise Gallagher, 47, was cited on a charge of illegal parking on Eight Dollar Mountain Road at Josephine Campground.
- Dale Edward Waters, 59, was cited on a charge of open container in the 12000 block of Deer Creek Road.
- A Cave Junction resident reported that someone had used her credit card. Subsequently, Rita Carroll Bennett, 43, was cited on charges of fraudulent use of a credit card and second-degree forgery.
- A caller asked that a driver be warned about her driving habits after she ran over one of his feet on W. Watkins Street. And she yelled at the caller for being in her way, he said.
- Theft of a submersible well pump from property in the 38000 block of Redwood Hwy. was reported.
- Sandra Irene Rose, 61, was cited on a charge of speeding (73 mph in a 55 zone) in the 29000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 10:02 p.m.
- Charges of DUII and DWS were referred to the county D.A. against Matthew G. Ellingwood, 20, who was contacted on Eight Dollar Mountain Road at 10:05 p.m. A passenger, Kevin Anthony Miner II, 20, was cited on a charge of MIP.
- What appeared to be a fight in the 1200 block of Deer Creek Road was reported.
- Another caller reported loud music and yelling coming from a Deer Creek Road address. When contacted, those present stated that they were having a party, and they agreed to reduce the volume by 11 p.m.
- Campers having a loud party out Illinois River Road were warned about violation of the county noise ordinance .

Saturday, June 27
- Elizabeth Julia Robinson, 21, was cited at Store Gulch out Illinois River Road on a charge of failure to pay a camping fee. Three people were warned for camping in a day-use area at Ring Beach at 12:49 a.m.
- A Millie Street resident said her ex-husband was refusing to get out of her vehicle. Also he was yelling and threatening her. No one was at the incident location when a deputy arrived.
- Jimmy Richard Delzell, 54, was issued a citation on a charge of third-degree theft at Shop Smart Food Warehouse.
- David Brian Tuttle, 37, was cited on a charge of speeding (69 mph in a 45 zone) on Hwy. 199 at Glendon Road at 5:20 p.m.
- On Redwood Hwy. at River Street, Joseph L. Watkins, 33, was cited on warrants charging failure to appear on charges of DWS, DUII, fourth-degree assault, strangulation, and carrying a concealed weapon.
- Danielle Nichole Held, 26, was cited on a charge of no vehicle insurance on N. Redwood Hwy. at Hanby Lane at 8:48 p.m.
- Contacted on his motorcycle in Downtown Cave Junction at 9:12 p.m., Samuel James Winters, 18, was cited on charges of no operator’s permit/driving outside of restrictions; and he was warned for switched plates and no proof of insurance.
- People arguing on Shadowbrook Drive for more than an hour prompted a concerned call from a neighbor. The parties separated for the evening.
- Aerial fireworks were reported on Pinecone Drive.

Sunday, June 28
- Honey June Walsh, 25, was cited on charges of fourth-degree domestic assault and strangulation following a report of a disturbance on Caves Hwy. at 12:55 a.m.
- In the 1200 block of Happy Camp Road a resident said that a “grizzly bear” knocked over the fence.

Monday, June 29
- A Caves Hwy. resident reported what sounded like a prowler outside her home at 12:11 a.m.
- Some $200 damage to the driver side door of a vehicle parked on the Shop Smart Food Warehouse parking lot was caused by a hit-and-run driver, a caller said.
- After a county worker stated that three aggressive dogs came at him as he was working behind Illinois Valley High School, the matter was referred to Animal Control.
- Several gunshots were heard coming from the vicinity of Fernwood Drive.
- Theft of an air compressor from a pumphouse on Burch Drive was reported.
- A Honeybee Lane resident reported an aggressive dog that is permitted to run loose in the neighborhood. The matter was referred to Animal Control.
- Robert James Myers, 38, was cited on a charge of second-degree criminal trespassing after he refused to leave Shop Smart Food Warehouse property at 8:26 p.m.
- On Finch Road a caller stated that a woman threatened him with a knife, and then left.
- “Polite and non-threatening,” but extremely disturbed, Joseph Henry Force, 52, was cited on Lake County warrants charging failure to appear, and making a false report.
