Free summer meals set

Three Rivers School District (TRSD) is offering its Summer Food Service Program at several locations throughout Illinois Valley.

The program provides free, nutritious meals and snacks to all children within the TRSD and Grants Pass School District areas. It helps children in low-income areas have regular meals during the summer months.

Meals are available at many sites, including High Pines Campground & Mobile Park at 24542 Redwood Hwy. in Kerby.



Lunches are scheduled to be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Mondays through Fridays until Aug. 21. For more information, phone Becky Quarles at 592-8582.

The Illinois Valley Section of Boys &Girls Club at Evergreen Elementary School, 520 W. River St. in Cave Junction, also will serve as a meal site. The program runs Mondays through Fridays until Aug. 21.

Meals will be served from 11:30 a.m. to noon, and 3 to 3:30 p.m. Phone Scott Thornhill at 592-4771.

Also at Evergreen, beginning Monday, July 6, meals will be served Mondays through Thursdays. Breakfast will be from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m.; lunch from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Phone Janie Heller for details at 592-3136.

Community Bible Church at 113 S. Caves Ave. will serve lunch from noon to 12:15 p.m. for one week only, ending Friday, June 26. For more information, phone Marilyn Arnold at 592-3896 or 660-9620.

Illinois Valley High School at 625 E. River St., will have meals Mondays through Thursdays from July 6 through 30. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 8:15 a.m.; lunch from noon to 12:15 p.m. Phone JoAnn Bethany at 592-2116.

From Aug. 3 to 7, meals will be available at Glenn Morrison American Legion Post Hall at 2110 Caves Hwy.

Breakfast will be served from 8:45 to 9 a.m.; lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. Phone Teresa Matz at 592-6149.
