Carlos C. Alameda
A memorial service for Carlos Celestino Alameda, 68, of Cave Junction, who died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at a care center in Grants Pass, will be held Friday, June 26 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Cave Junction beginning at 4 p.m.
A family service will be held at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. The family guest book can be signed at www.since1928hull.com.
Mr. Alameda was born on Jan. 23, 1941 in Lajas, Puerto Rico. At age 6, he moved with his family to New York. For 22 years he served as an electrician in the U.S. Air Force until his retirement as a Tech Sergeant in October 1988. In January 1994 he moved from Apple Valley, Calif. to Cave Junction.
He loved to fish and make items by hand.
Survivors are his wife of 22 years, Barbara Alameda; three sons, Michael Alameda, Mark Alameda and Peter Alameda; two daughters, Marisa Bynum and Shanna Ingersoll; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
