  • Wednesday, May 27
    • An intoxicated man was contacted on S. Hussey Avenue. He was warned regarding the leash law, apparently in connection with a dog.
    • On E. River Street, Israel James Hopper, 25, was cited to appear in Cave Junction Municipal Court on a charge of failure to properly use a seatbelt. He also was warned for no current proof of vehicle insurance.
    • Raymond James Yarbrough, 31, was cited on a charge of speeding (37 mph in a 25 mph zone) in the 400 block of E. River Street at 6:08 p.m.
    • Near Jubilee Park at 6:27 p.m., Joseph George Vigorito, 56, was cited on charges of failure to register a vehicle, and failure to carry proof of insurance.
    • On Redwood Hwy. at Hanby Lane, Melissa Karen Fulton, 31, was cited on charges of driving with a suspended license (DWS) and driving uninsured. Her vehicle was impounded.
    • On N. Junction Avenue at 10:43 p.m., a man was warned for trespassing after he refused to leave an ex-girlfriend’s house.
    • At 11:54 p.m. a woman phoned from N. Junction Avenue to report that a man was pounding on a door, demanding to be let in. Also, he wanted a first-aid kit. Subsequently, Carl W. Stevens, 25, was cited on a charge of second-degree criminal trespassing, and released at Josephine County Jail in Grants Pass.
  • Thursday, May 28
    • Following up on a complaint from a school bus driver about a vehicle passing the carrier of children, officers were in the vicinity of Takilma and Waldo roads between 6 and 7:30 a.m. They took the opportunity to warn one person about her driving habits.
    • David Bruce Evans, 57, was cited on a charge of VBR (speed 55 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at milepost 17 at 8:34 a.m.
    • At 9:29 a.m. someone complained that the driver of a black Honda was passing when inappropriate at speeds estimated to be around 100 mph.
    • A Lakeshore Drive resident reported that his mailbox was smashed.
    • At 9:33 p.m. a disturbance involving a man and a woman was reported in the 2000 block of Dick George Road.
    • Loud banging was heard in the area of S. Caves Avenue at 10:10 p.m. A 25-year-old man, found kicking a fence, was warned regarding the noise and his behavior.
    • At 10:19 p.m., loud music was said to be causing big cats to roar at a wildlife park on the south side of Cave Junction. After the music stopped, there was no more problem, thus giving the lie to the statement that music soothes savage beasts.
    • On Caves Hwy. at 10:50 p.m., James Michael Eaton, 48, was cited on a charge of failure to renew registration, probably for his vehicle.
  • Friday, May 29
    • At 12:15 a.m. a caller from W. River Street said that a man was pounding on her windows and ringing the doorbell. Deputies contacted an intoxicated man lying on a sidewalk. He stated that he’d been robbed by people with whom he’d been drinking, but was unable to locate the house of drink.
    • Steven Mohr, 55, was cited on a charge of improper display of a license plate on White Schoolhouse Road at 2:37 p.m.
    • A man reported that after he refused to purchase any more beer for the people he’d been drinking with the night before, they told him to leave and took his bag, cash and some of his belongings.
    • Christopher George Culver, 17, was cited on a charge of failure to carry proof of insurance and warned regarding speeding near Illinois River Forks State Park at 3:12 p.m.
    • Matthew James Galli, 38, was cited on a charge of VBR in the 34000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 3:12 p.m.
    • In the 1000 block of Reeves Creek Road Timothy Wagner, 22, was cited on a charge of DWS, and his vehicle was impounded.
    • On W. River Street Carol Ann Smith, 22, was cited on charges of DWS and failure to wear a seatbelt (FAWS).
    • Steven C. Camblin, 48, was cited on Redwood Hwy. south of Cave Junction on a charge of FAWS.
    • Cedar Q. Cosner, 17, was cited on a charge of speeding (66 mph in a posted 45 mph zone) in the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 5:42 p.m.
    • In the 1000 block of Illinois River Road, Tyesha Haugen, 14, was cited on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol; and Richard Lee Yakel, 23, was cited on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (PCS). Haugen was released to the custody of a relative. Yakel was lodged in county jail.
    • Aubry Elyse Fuller, 16, was cited on a charge of speeding (60 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. somewhere north of Cave Junction.
    • Robert James Mannix, 57, was cited on S. Redwood Hwy. at 6:11 p.m. on charges of failure to properly use a seatbelt and failure to carry proof of insurance.
    • Theft of a small utility trailer loaded with tongue-and-groove cedar lumber from a location in the 23000 block of Redwood Hwy. was reported.
    • Joshua Scott Goodwin, 34, was cited on a charge of speeding (63 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Hanby Lane at 6:24 p.m.
    • Contacted in the 500 block of S. Redwood Hwy., Randal Bennet Magnuson, 56, was cited on a Klamath County warrant charging restraining order violation. He was lodged in county jail.
    • Jeremy James Sorensen, 25, was cited on charges of DUII, speeding (87 mph in a 45 mph zone) and careless driving. His blood-alcohol content (BAC) was listed as .27.
    • An argument regarding money became a loud reported disturbance on Shadowbrook Drive, prompting a call from a concerned neighbor at 8:24 p.m.
    • Mark T. Hoyer, 50, was cited on a charge of speeding (57 mph in a 45 mph zone) on N. Redwood Hwy. at 10:54 p.m.
    • On S. Redwood Hwy. at 10:55 p.m., Stacie Lynn Davis, 21, was cited on a charge of failure to renew registration.
  • Saturday, May 30
    • At 11:46 p.m. a caller said that she was awaked by the screaming of a “female transient,” who was said to be “going ballistic” near Schumacher Street.
    • A man phoned from Selma to report that he was having homicidal tendencies. He was transported to Three Rivers Community Hospital by a family member.
    • Two callers reported a fight outside a Cave Junction bar, but no report came from a victim.
    • Four people were contacted on the parking lot of a Downtown CJ business at 3:23 p.m. One, Neil Francis White, 57, was cited on a charge of second-degree criminal trespassing and lodged in county jail.
    • Janice A. Sommers, 70, was cited on a charge of FAWS on N. Redwood Hwy. at 5:06 p.m.
    • On Redwood Hwy., near Laurel Road, Joshua D. Thorstand, 30, was cited on a charge of FAWS.
    • In the 1500 block of Rockydale Road at 5:52 p.m., Sam J. Winter, 18, was cited on a charge of FAWS.
    • Jason Michael Cowan, 18, was cited on a charge of speeding (73 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Redwood Hwy. at Rockydale Road at 6:02 p.m.
    • Two men contacted on Eight Dollar Mountain Road at 6:33 p.m. admitted to using methamphetamine after syringes were located. Jack Hugh Steinhoff, 24, was cited on a charge of driving under the influence of an intoxicant; and Charles Howard Mulch, 24, was cited on a charge of parole violation, and lodged in county jail.
    • In the 500 block of S. Redwood Hwy., Cheri Lorraine Sutherland, 48, was cited on a California DOJ warrant charging probation violation on an original counterfeiting charge. Also, Genieva M. Norman, 50, was cited on a charge of hindering prosecution.
    • Following a disturbance on W. River Street at midnight involving much yelling and pounding on windows, Lisa Joyce House, 49, was cited on a charge of disorderly conduct and lodged in county jail.
    • Scott C. Hicks, 42, was cited on a charge of DWS on Millie Street at 7:15 p.m.
    • Jeremy Justin Beck, 29, was lodged in county jail on a charge of probation violation.
    • Contacted while stumbling in the middle of W. River Street, Luey Magic Ocean Glenn, 20, was cited on a charge of probation violation. His BAC was given as .19.
  • Sunday, May 31
    • Around 9 a.m. in the 3000 block of Illinois River Road, Caleb Michael Dillon, 26; Justin Patrick Whited, 30; and James Joseph Rousseau, 26, were cited on charges of operating motor vehicles in a closed area.
