  • Eagle Scout ramps up CJ skate park project

    The skateboarding structures at Jubilee Park in Cave Junction have been in a state of disrepair for several years.

    But rather than complain about it, Illinois Valley High School senior Billy Dillard decided to fix it as part of an Eagle Scout project. He’s a member of Troop 880.

    On Saturday, May 30, Dillard and many others descended upon the park with power tools, extension cords and piles of wood to provide a much-needed facelift to the skate park.

  • Class of 2009 commencement set Thursday, June 4 at IVHS

    New

    A ceremony marking graduation for the Illinois Valley High School’s Class of 2009 will be held Thursday, June 4, 2009 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at IVHS. Depending on the weather, the ceremony will be held at the IVHS athletic field or inside Ken Mann Memorial Gym in Cave Junction.

  • Yearbook staff honored for excellence

    The Illinois Valley High School yearbook staff has been honored by Taylor Publishing with an Honorable Mention Certificate of Recognition for its dedication, effort and accomplishments.

  • Cougar tracksters excel at state

    Even though the Illinois Valley track team had only two representatives and both came from the girls side, they both rose to the occasion in Eugene on Friday and Saturday, May 22 and 23.

  • Cougar golf team takes fourth in Skyline

    The Illinois Valley boys golf team was dancing on the green at the Skyline District meet held at the Running Y in Klamath Falls on May 15 and 16.
