Snailback hike set March 21

Veteran hiker/historian Greg Walter will lead a Siskiyou Project hike to Snailback Falls on Saturday, March 21 to visit this seldom-seen wonder hidden in the Illinois River canyon, only 3 miles west of Selma.

Participants should bring lunch and snacks for this moderate-to-strenuous 3-mile round-trip hike, which features an elevation gain of 900 feet. This hike is suitable for teen-agers and adults. Hikers will meet at 10 a.m. at the west end of Ray’s Food Place parking lot in Selma.
