County town hall meeting on homeless issues set March 11

Josephine County Board of Commissioners will begin a series of town hall-style meetings to encourage public involvement and cooperation on issues of local concern. The meetings are scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month.
The first meeting, which will be hosted by the Redwood Lions Club, will focus on the issue of homelessness and how to help. Chuck La TOurette will facilitate, and other organizations will provide information on other programs and services currently available. It will held on Wednesday, March 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Anne G. Basker Auditorium in Grants Pass.
A proposal for a non-denominational sleep-and-shower center will be presented, as well.
The public is encourage to attend and participate.
