Wednesday, Feb. 18
- A man complaining of loud music at a Westside Road location was advised of his options.
- On Laurel Road a tenant said that his landlord had been harassing him, and that she was parked across the street with her lights off (car lights apparently). The tenant was advised of his options.
- Theft of items, including jewelry, cash, a gun and a chainsaw, from a Kerby residence was reported.

Thursday, Feb. 19
- During a traffic stop on E. River Street at 1:18 a.m., passenger Brandon William Sells, 21, was cited on a warrant charging failure to comply/reckless driving.
- At 3:52 a.m. a small, green, metallic container, wrapped in electrical tape and containing an unknown substance, was turned in at the Illinois Valley Substation at Cave Junction City Hall for destruction.
- Washington state license plates were reported found in a trash can on S. Hussey Avenue. The owner stated that he threw them away after registering his vehicle in Oregon.
- Theft of a lock from a gate on BLM land off Thompson Creek Road was reported.
- On Laurel Road a woman complained that her tenant threatened to kill her animals. She was advised that it is a civil issue. The animals were not identified.
- Beginning at 3 p.m. a man phoned repeatedly from a public telephone at O’Brien Post Office to state that the FBI had been contacted regarding some 3,100 related murders. Who was involved and where was not related.
- Broken glass and scorch marks found at a residence in the 28000 block of Redwood Hwy. were evidence of someone having thrown a flaming beer bottle through the window. The type of beer was not listed.
- A Cave Junction resident said that a ”known drug user” was continually phoning to harass her.
- On E. River Street at 7 a.m. a woman said that she found a dead animal of some kind on her front porch.
- In the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. a deputy warned a driver for failure to maintain a lane of travel. The driver, it was noted, had been using a hand-held Global Positioning System unit in an attempt to find her destination. The deputy pointed out that the traffic stop occurred in front of the address she’d been looking for.
- Daniel Michael Heckman, 30, was cited on a charge of speeding (38 mph in a 25 mph zone) on E. River Street at 11:23 p.m.
- James Wayne Dahlman, 35, was cited on a charge of speeding (55 mph in a 30 mph zone) and warned against speed-racing on Redwood Hwy. at milepost 31 at 1:15 a.m.
- Robert Aaron Bell, 29, was cited on a charge of speeding (60 mph in a 30 mph zone) and warned against speed-racing and having no current proof of insurance in the 29000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 1:16 a.m.

Friday, Feb. 20
- On Illinois River Road, Robert Burchinal, 38, was cited on a Mississippi Dept. of Corrections warrant charging possession of a precursor substance. Burchinal was lodged in Josephine County Jail in Grants Pass pending extradition.
- An Illinois Valley resident reported that she’d received a phone call from someone claiming to be her grandson, requesting that she send money to him in Canada. After checking with family members, she determined the call to be fraudulent.
- A care-taker reported that someone had been staying in a residence in the 37000 block of Redwood Hwy. without permission.
- On Lone mountain Road at 8:38 p.m. Sean Christopher Ethan Smith, 26, was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license (DWS), and his vehicle was impounded.
- After a report of an intoxicated person on S. Junction Avenue, Jade Charleton Yandell, 19, was lodged in county jail, charged with two counts of assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest and menacing.
- Two vehicles were broken into on Lone Mountain Road, a caller stated.
- On Redwood Hwy. near Waldo Road, Mitchell Wayne Thornton III, 22, was cited on charges of DWS, speeding (70 mph in a 55 mph zone) and driving uninsured. Thornton was warned for operation of an unsafe vehicle, and the vehicle was impounded.
- Contacted with a carload of people on S. Junction Avenue at 11:21 p.m., Richard Michael Miner-Mayfield, 18, was cited on charges of no operator’s license, failure to carry proof of insurance, and providing false information to a police officer. Also he was warned for having too many unrestrained passengers in the vehicle. He was lodged in county jail on unspecified warrants.

Saturday, Feb. 21
- A 14-year-old girl, who was returned home after a traffic stop, left again, her mother reported at 1:17 a.m.
- Two disorderly persons were told to leave Junction Inn property at 4:47 p.m., but refused and responded with profanity, the owner said. Crystal Dawn Costa, 34, was cited on a charge of second-degree criminal trespassing and released at county jail.

Sunday, Feb. 22
- An unknown driver drove through a fence and yard in the 4000 block of Lakeshore Drive, causing approximately $500 damage.

Monday. Feb. 23
- ODOT was notified of a “Stop” sign found down at 12:09 a.m. at the northwest corner of Redwood Hwy. at River Street, possibly by someone who did not stop.
- Theft from a Lakeshore Drive residence of $20, two packs of cigarettes and some prescription medication was reported.
- Deputies were asked to respond to a N. Caves Avenue residence when a child custody issue became a disturbance.
- A 6-year-old child phoned 911 from a residence on W. River Street. Mother stated that she would make certain the child understands emergency number use.
- Theft and unauthorized use of three credit cards from a Patton Bar Road residence was reported. A report for ID theft and second-degree theft was pending.
- A 15-year-old runaway person was recovered on Draper Valley Road and lodged at Juvenile Justice Center in Grants Pass.
- Deputies responded to a N. Caves Avenue residence on a report of a 17-year-old who was “flipping out” and hitting walls. He left prior to the arrival of deputies.

Tuesday, Feb. 24
- A small purse containing cash, credit cards and a cell phone was reported stolen from a substitute teacher at Lorna Byrne Middle School.
- A 3,600-watt generator and a power saw were reported stolen from a cabin in the 17000 block of Redwood Hwy. in Selma.
- An O’Brien man reported that another person was asked to kill him and set his house on fire.
