Toler, Ellis named to AOC

From our weekly issue dated December 31, 2008

Josephine County’s two senior commissioners have been recruited by the Association of Oregon Counties (AOC) to provide their expertise on its board of directors.

Josephine County Commission Chairman Dave Toler was personally invited by incoming AOC President Lynda Modrell to serve on the board. After some thought, he accepted the position, with the understanding that he would be teleconferencing many of his monthly duties due to his obligation in the courthouse.

Commission Vice Chairman Dwight Ellis steps to the Region 4 chair and therefore also will be taking a seat on the AOC Board of Directors as well. Member counties of each district biennially elect a chairman to preside at district meetings and to represent the district on AOC’s board and Legislative Committee.
