Wednesday, Dec. 17
- Krystal Lea Maddox, 17, was cited to appear in Cave Junction Municipal Court on a charge of driving without an operator’s permit on E. River Street near Illinois Valley High School at 3:31 p.m. Maddox was warned about lack of insurance, and speeding.
- Steven R. McMichael, 27, was cited on charges of driving with a suspended license (DWS) and driving uninsured on Redwood Hwy. in Selma at 3:46 p.m.
- On Millie Street at 5:47 p.m., Timothy W. Wagner, 21, was cited to appear in CJ Muni Court on a DWS charge.
- A Holland Loop resident provided suspect information regarding a stolen firearm.
- Some $25,000 worth of tools and items were reported stolen from a shop building on Holland Loop. A report of first-degree burglary and second-degree theft was pending.
- A woman who reported continuing harassment by her brother-in-law was advised of her options.

Thursday, Dec. 18
- Neil White, 57, was cited on a charge of open container of alcoholic beverage at Jubilee Park at 3:35 p.m.
- Anthony M. Herman, 52, was cited to appear in CJ Muni Court on charges of DWS, driving uninsured and failure to wear a seatbelt.

Friday, Dec. 19
- On E. River Street at 7:30 a.m., a caller stated that he needed a restraining order because he was arguing with his partner. He stated that he’d be on his way to Grants Pass to obtain the order.
- Patrick Randall Lubin, 23, was cited to appear in CJ Muni Court on a charge of DWS. Also he was warned regarding a defective headlight and no insurance.
- Theft of a wedding ring, knives and spare change from a residence in the 1000 block of Caves Hwy.
- It was reported that a kid was throwing snowballs at cars on Redwood Hwy. near milepost 20 at 7:51 p.m.
- A report of unlawful use of a weapon, reckless endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief was pending following a shooting incident in the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. A man said that a bullet entered his residence at 9:05 p.m.
- A deputy’s vehicle was struck by a snowball on Redwood Hwy. just south of Cave Junction at 10:17 p.m.
- At 11:21 p.m. a caller stated that some people in a dark-colored SUV were driving up and down Merlot Drive and Gamay Court in a “crazy” manner. Neighbors chased the drivers away.

Saturday, Dec. 20
- Jory James Baldwin, 35; and Travis Michael Roberts, 29, were cited for lack of a Sno-Park permit at the snow park on Happy Camp Road at 11:15 a.m.
- At 9:41 a.m. a man and woman were said to be fighting in Downtown CJ near a makeshift shelter.
- Two people were said to be fighting on E. Lister Street at 1:55 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 21
- A “bunch of vehicles” were stuck in the snow around the nine-mile marker on Happy Camp Road. Charges of DWS and no Sno-Park permit against one contacted driver were referred to the county district attorney.
- A domestic disturbance was reported on Kerby Street.
- On Hogue Drive it was reported that a man attacked a dog with a hammer.
- Also on Hogue Drive, a property owner stated that a former tenant trashed the residence, and that a utility trailer was taken without permission.
- Following a disturbance in the 300 block of Caves Hwy., some people were advised that they would be arrested if found at the residence again.
- A deputy assisted a parent attempting to retrieve a teen-age child from a residence on Rockydale Road.
- After he threw a glass at her and left the house in a rage, a mother in CJ reported her son as runaway. Upon his return, Brian Taylor Flores, 17, was transported to Juvenile Justice Center in Grants Pass. A report of criminal mischief and second-degree menacing was pending.

Monday, Dec. 22
- Theft of a satellite radio and prescription meds from a vehicle parked at the Holland Store yesterday was reported at 9:09 a.m.
- Gunshots were heard on E. River Street at 10:38 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 23
- Guns reported stolen from Holland Loop were located by the owner at a Grants Pass pawn shop.
- In the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. a woman reported that a man was on her property and refused to leave until she gave him $20. Eventually, he left.

Wednesday, Dec. 24
- A report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first-degree theft and first-degree criminal mischief was pending after a pickup truck full of tools was reported stolen from an Ollis Road residence. The vehicle, damaged and missing tail-lights, was recovered from a location off Kerby Mainline Road.
- A dappled, cream-colored horse was said running loose in the area of Caves Hwy. and Old Stage Road at 4:37 a.m. Eventually the horse made its way to Hwy. 199 where it was corralled until its owner arrived to retrieve it.
- A frightened woman on Pickett Creek Road in the Merlin area reported a cougar or large exotic cat was on her screen porch staring at her through the window. Later she phoned to say she’d mistaken a piece of lawn furniture for a cat.
- A Cave Junction resident was taken to Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass on a voluntary mental hold after he told a delivery man that he was seeing dead people and wanted help.
- Two women were having a verbal disturbance in the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. One had threatened to pull out the other’s hair. Both (of the women) were advised of their options and elected to attempt to be peaceful.
- Contacted during a traffic stop on N. Redwood Hwy. at 4:17 p.m., John Edward Hicks, 44, was cited on Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office warrants charging using an invalid ID and failure to display a license. He also was cited on a charge of providing false information to police.
