A Grants Pass-area man was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 17 by detectives from the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement Team (RADE) on marijuana-related charges after a search warrant led to the discovery of an indoor marijuana-growing operation.

Nathaniel Casaretto, 33, was arrested on charges of unlawful manufacture, distribution, and possession of marijuana. A second person, who had just purchased marijuana at the residence owned by Casaretto when officers arrived, was cited on a charge of unlawful possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

RADE detectives, Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers, and an agent from the Drug Enforcement Administration served the warrant on Foothill Blvd. in rural Grants Pass.

RADE said that in an unattached garage adjacent to Casaretto’s residence, officers found approximately 2 pounds of processed marijuana, 57 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, a firearm, and other evidence related to the manufacture and distribution of marijuana.
