    Firefighters discovered two dead men when they entered a burning home in rural Grants Pass following a 3:43 p.m. alarm, said Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO).

  • Suspect held for bomb explosion that killed two officers, injured one

    An Oregon State Police bomb technician and Woodburn Police officer were killed, and the Woodburn chief of police was critically injured Friday afternoon when an explosive device detonated at a Woodburn area bank.

  • OSP, other agencies aim during holidays to thwart drunks

    Oregon State Police is joining other Oregon law enforcement agencies through the end of December and into the New Year for increased enforcement to find and remove impaired drivers from highways.

Lance Tausaga (above) of Illinois Valley High School wrestled to a 4th-place finish in the 215 lb. class at the Coast Classic in North Bend held Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12 and 13. Sam Winter was 5th at 145, and Jesse Orndorff was second at 103. His score was the highest of any Cougar freshman who has participated in the tournament.
