Friday, Nov. 14
- Near the 4000 block of Lone Mountain Road, a black-and-gray (and mud-colored) Chevy pickup truck was stuck in gooey stuff on a power line utility road.
- Stopped on Redwood Hwy. at south Draper Valley Road at 12:14 p.m., Gary Michael Slack, 57, was cited on a charge of speeding (60 mph in a 45 mph zone).
- At 12:42 p.m., Melissa Jayne Lowenstein, 42, was cited to appear in Cave Junction Municipal Court for having an alcoholic beverage at Jubilee Park.
- Bruce Lyle Smith, 49, was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license (DWS) in the 1400 block of Rockydale Road at 5:31 p.m.
- Jacob Jonathan Patrick Miller, 18; and Jesse Swift, 19, each were cited on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (PCS), less than an ounce of marijuana, on S. Redwood Hwy. at Lister Street at 6:16 p.m.
- Mark Allen Berry, 53, was cited on a charge of driving without an operator’s permit in the 3000 block of Rockydale Road at 8 p.m.
- Six days of loud music, underage drinking and suspected marijuana use were reported in connection with a Forest Creek Road residence.
- A Hogue Drive resident complained that her landlord broke water pipes, and padlocked the door to the well house. The tenant was advised of her civil options.

Saturday, Nov. 15
- On E. River Street at 1:41 a.m. a woman reported that a man in a large white pickup truck pointed a rifle at her as he drove past. Suspect information was provided.
- A silver-colored Cadillac was found abandoned on a spur road some 5.3 miles up Lone Mountain Road. (Cadillacs not recommended for driving on spur roads).
- A Kenwood Drive resident reported continuing harassment by the parent of a runaway girl. The reported incidents were to be referred to the D.A.’s office.
- “Employee error” was reported as the cause of an alarm at Headers Tavern in Selma at 8:46 a.m.
- A report of gunshots and stolen firearms from a Beebe Drive address was determined to be a civil matter. All parties agreed to work it out amongst themselves.
- On W. Watkins Street, Cameron Roger Dailey, 40, was cited on a DWS charge. And he was warned about lack of insurance and expired registration. And his vehicle was impounded.
- Contacted in Downtown Cave Junction, Peter Andre Struyck, 55, subsequently was lodged in Josephine County Jail on warrants charging failure to appear (FTA) on charges of PCS (methamphetamine) and contempt of court.
- Three intoxicated persons contacted at Onion Mountain Lookout were warned for trespassing. Craig Francis Hindle, 22, was cited on a charge of PCS (less than an ounce of marijuana). The trio was instructed to stay put until sober enough to drive.
- Three more persons, apparently not drunk, were contacted near Onion Mountain Lookout and warned for being on a closed road.
- Several drivers were warned regarding defective lighting, and told to fix the problems or risk citations.
- Following a reported hit-and-run accident, possibly involving “road rage,” on Hwy. 199 in Selma around 7 p.m., Timmy Joseph Wood, 43, was detained at the top of Hay’s Hill. Wood was cited on charges of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, DWS and failure to leave name at an accident scene. Plus he was warned about speeding and careless driving.

Sunday, Nov. 16
- Michael Patrick Ingram, 49; and Benjamin Charles Ingram, 21, were cited on federal charges of PCS (marijuana) when contacted approximately 1 mile up Crooks Creek Road at 10:47 a.m. Additionally, Benjamin Ingram was warned regarding DWS and the impound law.
- Regarding a pickup truck stuck on Lone Mountain Road, Gregory Allen Goad, 44, was cited on a charge of being on a closed road and warned about damaging government property.
- Some 5 miles up Lone Mountain Road, Sean Christopher Ethan Smith, 26, was cited on a DWS charge, and warned about possible vehicle impoundment.
- A woman reported that while walking on the running track behind Lorna Byrne Middle School, a dog jumped on her back, pulled at her sweatshirt and bit her on one forearm. Information was referred to Animal Control.
- A Selma man reported loaning his pickup truck to a woman who hadn’t returned it. The vehicle was found in the 7000 block of Caves Hwy., and the borrower had some explaining to do.

Monday, Nov. 17
- In Downtown Cave Junction at Bear Images, it was reported that phone lines were ripped from the building and that there was water damage from a hose left running. A report of second-degree criminal mischief was filed.
- A “classic Mustang,” said to be sporting a dark, primer color, was reported being reckless on Holland Loop around 4:51 p.m.
- Theft of a World War II-vintage Japanese rifle and food from a residence on Holland Loop was reported. (The food was not from WWII).
- Subsequent to a traffic stop in the 18000 block of Redwood Hwy., Heather Lee Johnson, 29, was lodged in county jail on a Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety warrant charging FTA (contempt of court).
- Around 8 p.m., a caller reported that her vehicle, parked at Shop Smart, was struck by the driver of a small blue pickup truck, who did not stick around. (Anyone get a license plate?)

Tuesday, Nov. 18
- Following a two-vehicle accident on Lakeshore Drive at 12:18 p.m., driver Sara Lyn Tincher, 28, was cited on a charge of failure to maintain a lane of travel; and driver Elizabeth Erin Toroni, 31, was cited on a charge of no operator’s permit.
- A runaway girl from Bend, who’d been staying at a rural Cave Junction residence, was lodged at the Juvenile Justice Center in Grants Pass, Her parents were notified.
- A man reported that his ex-girlfriend was refusing to allow him to retrieve his property from School Street.
- A dead deer occupying the middle of Hwy. 199 just north of O’Brien was dragged off the road.
