Experience I V

Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce last week replaced the damaged ‘Welcome’ sign on Hwy. 199 at Hay’s Hill facing southbound traffic. The attractive sign, featuring the Experience Illinois Valley theme, highlights valley vineyards and the Chateau at Oregon Caves. Project Chairman Lelo Kerivan, of Bridgeview Vineyards Winery, said that the sign cost some $3,000, paid for through chamber fund-raisers and donations. The chamber hopes to also replace the sign near Rough & Ready Lumber Co., and is seeking more funding. (Photo by Michelle Binker, Illinois Valley News)
