Senior Center activities to be focus

Second Friday Art Walk in Downtown Cave Junction on Nov. 14 will highlight Illinois Valley Senior Center activity groups.

The Senior Center Line Dancers will perform at the Josephine County Bldg. at 6:30 p.m. Lynn Berry, Margie Culbertson, Jennie Jacobson, Ellen Lovett, Dee Street, Beth Williams and Dee Zurek will dance to contemporary tunes.

Visitors are encouraged to stay for traditional American “Barn Dancing” led by Donna Belle at 7. Live music will be provided by I.V. String Band members Jack Dwyer, George Shook, Carol Valentine and others.



Also beginning Nov. 14 and throughout the month, Home Valley Bank will display oil paintings by I.V. Senior Center art students instructed by Meg Kelsey. This group show will include work by Carol Barnett, Harry Bradley, Gloria Jordan, Lois Matthews, Jerry McClean and Rita Warren.

On Nov. 14, the I.V. Senior Thrift Shop will host Michelle Pankey, as she displays her jewelry and creative gifts fashioned from recycled materials.
