Take care of our own
From Fred Krauss
Selma
I think everyone should get on their hands and knees every night and thank God they are U.S. citizens. However, I need to gripe every now and then. We can spend $2 billion every month in Iraq, but we can’t take care of our own people.
On the news it is said that 1/4 of all bankruptcies are medically related. A newspaper story tells of a 46-year-old man who died of a heart attack in bed because he could not afford to go to a doctor when he had chest pains.
I know a family that had a child needing a kidney transplant. The procedure would have cost $150,000 which the family did not have. Six months later the child died.
Let’s take care of our own.
