Friday, Sept. 12

Around lunchtime, a person wearing a pink tank top was trespassing at a Cave Junction restaurant. The color of the person’s pants was not provided.

An orange-colored truck and a small blue-painted car were involved in a fender-bender on a parking lot on Watkins Street at 2:34 p.m.

A request to check the day-use area at Lake Selmac, due to people in a green Ford Ranger refusing to pay the fee and not leaving when asked, was called in at 4 p.m.

Russell Lawrence Lamb, 62, was cited on a charge of following too close after the semitruck he was driving rear-ended a vehicle in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 5:08 p.m.

Laurel Denise Glenn, 49, was cited on a charge of failure to obey a “Stop” sign and failure to carry registration.

On N. Junction Ave. at 5:04 p.m. kitchen items being tossed around resulted in the arrest of an HBD (had been drinking) person.

In the 23000 block of Redwood Hwy., a vehicle with unreadable plates was checked for roadway blockage at 7:28 p.m.

Jubilee Park was checked at 9:01 p.m.

A driver was warned about a defective passenger-side headlight on his vehicle. Another driver in the area of Hanby Lane and Redwood Hwy., was stopped for failure to signal, and not carrying current proof of insurance.

Around 10 p.m. a caller on Reeves Creek Road heard a vehicle crash twice, then the tires squealed toward Redwood Hwy.

A California driver was warned about his speed when stopped on Redwood Hwy. at 10:51 p.m.

Shortly after the previous event, another motorist was warned about a defective passenger-side headlight on his vehicle when stopped on Redwood Hwy. at Watkins Street.

David James Waddell, 26, was directed to leave a Cave Junction bar, from which he was “trespassed,” due to a complaint that he was highly intoxicated at 11:16 p.m.

In the area of Redwood Hwy. at Draper Valley Road a possibly intoxicated driver in a Geo was searched for, but not located, near the midnight hour.

Saturday, Sept. 13

Shortly after midnight, two drivers were warned about speeding in Downtown Cave Junction. Another driver was warned for failure to maintain a lane of travel and failure to carry proof of insurance.

At 12:37 a.m. on Redwood Hwy. in Kerby, Raymond Lee Sanders, 49, was cited on a charge of driving under the influence of an intoxicant and cited to appear on a warrant charging failure to appear (FTA) on an original contempt of court charge. His vehicle was impounded.

A caller from Cowboy Way complained about a man who was riding his ATV and yelling gibberish at a neighbor around 9:06 a.m.

An escaped campfire was extinguished in the 3000 block of Eight Dollar Mountain Road.

An area check of Seats Dam was conducted around 3 p.m., as there have been problems there by unruly types.

Three motorists in Cave Junction were warned for speeding. All were traveling more than 12 mph over the posted speed limit.

Contacted for an obscured windshield on E. Watkins Street at 7 p.m., William Albert Webbe, 36, was arrested on charges of FTA (probation violation), and possession of a controlled substance/meth. He was lodged in Josephine County Jail in Grants Pass.

In the 8000 block of Takilma Road a delivery person phoned 911 to report finding marijuana plants. Josephine Marijuana Eradication Team was notified.

Zach D. Morton, 31, was cited on a charge of improper display on Deer Creek Road at 9:41 p.m.

Some uninvited people showed up at her home to harass her boyfriend and throw things, a Kerby resident reported.

Sunday, Sept. 14

Some sort of disturbance that sounded like “kids yelling and fighting” was reported on Warren Road at 12:59 a.m.

At Lake Selmac it was reported that a woman was being harassed by a man she knew.

En route to a medical call in Selma, an American Medical Response ambulance with lights and sirens activated was passed by a pickup truck which arrived at the incident location. The driver, the son of the patient, was warned about passing emergency vehicles.

A woman advised an officer that her grandchild was becoming unruly. The 8-year-old was counseled regarding his behavior and stated that he would cause no further problems.

On Rockydale Road at 9:29 p.m. Trevor Stuart Watson, 29, was cited on charges of driving without an operator’s permit and not having insurance.

Several drivers were warned regarding issues such as speeding or defective equipment.

Monday, Sept. 15

Daniel David Perry, 22, was cited on a charge of driving uninsured at milepost 30 on Redwood Hwy. at 12:10 a.m. He also was warned for defective tail- and headlights.

Damage to the hood, windshield and passenger side door of a vehicle on S. Kerby Avenue was reported. How the damage occurred was not explained.

Diabetes medication and a blood-sugar testing machine were reported stolen from a vehicle at Six Mile Campground.

A valley resident complained about being bitten by two of his tenant’s five dogs.

A Medford resident reported having been punched in the face several times at a party on Warren Road. Subsequently, Melissa Michelle (Missy) Hill, 19, was cited on a charge of fourth-degree assault.

Tuesday, Sept. 16

A gun, jewelry and credit card were reported stolen from a S. Old Stage Road residence.

“Partying and carrying on” were said to be occurring in a brown van parked in a neighborhood in the 500 block of S. Redwood Hwy.

A loud “rocket blast” or “report from a shotgun” was reported in Downtown Cave Junction at 8:07 a.m. A construction worker thought it might have been a steel drum falling.

A woman was using abusive language at the Seventh-day Adventist Church on S. Old Stage Road, and she refused to leave when asked.

It was reported that a man was attempting to sell a car in a Selma bar, and onlookers thought it suspicious. How he got the car into the bar was unexplained.

James Leonard Guthrie Jr., 17, was cited on a charge of fourth-degree assault following an incident on W. River Street.

Jeremiah Scott Partain, 30, a passenger in a vehicle stopped for failure to yield before entering a roadway, was arrested on two warrants charging FTA/possession of a controlled substance/meth; and one warrant charging FTA/offensive littering. He was lodged in county jail.

Wednesday, Sept. 17

Buddy Jeremy Ingram, 21, was cited on a charge of third-degree theft after a woman reported that he’d taken her purse and dog, and wouldn’t return them.

When he went to a residence in Selma to retrieve his stolen dirt bike, a caller said, someone reached through the window of his vehicle and punched his nose.

Information was received about a possible drug-dealing location in Cave Junction. (No ..!)

Theft of a case of beer from a convenience store in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy. was reported.

Some wing nut broke windows at Shasta Fudge and King’s Chinese Restaurant in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy. around 8 p.m.

Buddy Joseph Ingram, 21, was cited on charges of speeding (79 mph in a 55 mph zone), and failure to provide proof of insurance on Redwood Hwy. at Hogue Drive at 10:56 p.m.
