Saturday, Sept. 6

*Following a noninjury accident on Illinois River Road around 1:30 p.m., two drivers, Carole Ann Thomas, 46; and Paul Karel Koci, 21, each were cited on charges of driving without driver licenses. Koci also was cited for failure to yield.

*Two thoughtful women were reported fighting and throwing bottles and other items at each other in a Cave Junction store at 5:54 p.m.

*Some sort of tenant-and-landlord dispute was reported on Fir Drive.

*A deputy located a transient camp somewhere on S. Junction Avenue, but nobody was home.

*An intoxicated man spun out and drove away after an angry confrontation on a parking lot in O’Brien, it was reported at 7:26 p.m. The driver, Richard James Roy, 39, was cited on charges of driving under the influence of an intoxicant (DUII), driving with a suspended license (DWS) and detained on a probation violation.

*Kaalyn Shae Campbell, 21, was cited on a charge of DWS and warned about a defective license plate light on N. Redwood Hwy. at Lister Street at 9 p.m. The vehicle was impounded, and a female passenger requested a trip to Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass, as she hadn’t been taking her meds and she felt “close to the edge.”

*Several drivers who felt above the law were warned about speeding in and around Cave Junction between 9 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.

Sunday, Sept. 7

*At 2:12 a.m. -- well past curfew -- a 16-year-old girl was struck by a white van as she and other teen-aged persons were walking in the 300 block of Caves Hwy. It was reported that the driver returned and attempted to hit more people.

*At 1:05 p.m. a woman said that while swimming at Seats Dam, she and her 12-year-old son were assaulted by people with paintball guns. She stated that she felt threatened.

*A caller wanted the owner of two large yellow-colored dogs to secure them because, he said, they attack pedestrians.

*An O’Brien resident wanted his son warned against trespassing and telephonic harassment.

*James David Breedlove, 34, was cited on charges of DUII, DWS and refusing a blood-alcohol content draw. He was stopped in the 25000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 7:16 p.m.

*A caller complained of an aggressive black-and-white dog on W. River Street. The complaint was forwarded to animal control.

*Luey Magic Ocean Music Glenn, 19, was lodged in Josephine County Jail on charges of fourth-degree domestic assault and second-degree criminal mischief.

Monday Sept. 8

*A Selma man reported that several unauthorized charges had been made online against his debit card.

*As a result of a break-in, vandals who are the pride of their parents caused approximately $500 damage to a building housing a radio repeater near Oregon Caves National Monument.

*Unconscionable thieves took two bicycles from a campsite at Lake Selmac.

*Theft of a Harley Davidson motorcycle from a Dogwood Lane address was reported.

*Theft or burglary of some $7,000 worth of items from a Reeves Creek Road residence was reported.

*Kayse M. Jama, 34, was cited on a charge of speeding on Redwood Hwy. in Selma at 8 p.m.

*After a report from the 700 block of Caves Hwy. of an assault, Jason Andrew Bergstad, 34, was lodged in county jail on charges of fourth-degree assault and taken to jail on a probation violation.

*On S. Old Stage Road at 10:40 p.m. a caller stated that three people dragged a fourth, unconscious individual into a ditch following a physical altercation, also known as a fight.

Tuesday, Sept. 9

*An apparently disturbed woman entered a Cave Junction financial firm and threatened employees and their families. Although she didn’t have an account, she left a deposit slip with her name.

*In Kerby a man said that he was assaulted when he confronted some people breaking into his neighbor’s vehicle. The incident was captured on video tape, it was reported.

*Raymond Edward Stevens, 46, was taken into custody at the Illinois Valley Substation at Cave Junction City Hall on charges of DUII and probation violation.

*Frustrated artists left graffiti on traffic signals and benches along Redwood Hwy. in Cave Junction.

Wednesday, Sept. 10

*An Illinois Valley High School student admitted during an investigation to having had alcohol at school. He was cited on a charge of minor in possession.

*A caller stated that she saw a man in “hippy” clothing throw a fluffy, German Shepherd-sized animal, wrapped in a blanket secured with a rope, into Illinois River. An OSP game trooper was to investigate.

*Three people were warned against trespassing on W. Watkins Street near a building at 5:52 p.m.

*Theft of fuel from vehicles was reported by a Stevenson Street resident.

*A Pinewood Way resident reported continuing telephonic harassment.

*Two men on Hogue Drive were contacted in reference to a report of menacing behavior, and criminal mischief stemming from an incident in Wilderville.

Thursday, Sept. 11

*A Pinewood Way resident said that a woman was at his gate, and heaving rocks at his house.

*Kathtyn Elizabeth Dickerson, date-of-birth not given, was cited on a charge of speeding (37 mph in a 20 mph school zone) and warned for lack of current insurance.

*Raymond Anthony Moore, 20, was cited to appear in Cave Junction Municipal Court on a charge of failure to use a seatbelt.

*Russell Richard Brummett, 36, was cited to appear in CJ Municipal Court on a charge of driving without an operator’s permit on Watkins Street.

*Kenten Christopher Melhoff-Brannon, 21, was cited to appear in CJ Municipal Court on a charge of speeding (40 mph in a 30 mph zone) in the 100 block of Redwood Hwy.

*For some reason, a possibly intoxicated driver was reported on Caves Hwy. at 6:41 p.m.

*Dogs barking and a suspected prowler were noted on Elwood Lane behind Rough & Ready Lumber Co.

*On Queen of Bronze Road a man with dark, stringy hair was “hanging out” near a complainant’s property line.
