Appeals on gravel site possible
From our weekly issue dated September 10, 2008
Appeals can be made regarding an amendment to include a 33.86-acre parcel on Holland Loop in rural Cave Junction for a potential gravel-removal site.
Josephine County Planning Office said Friday, Sept. 5 that it has notified interested parties of the fact that appeals can be made to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA).
At issue is property at 2612 Holland Loop. It is owned by Illinois Valley Ranch LLC, whose representative is Bill Peterson, of Barlow Sand & Gravel LLC.
The county board of commissioners on Aug. 27 approved the owner/representative request to amend the county’s Comprehensive Plan Inventory of Significant Aggregate Sites.
LUBA can be contacted by phoning (503) 373-1265, or at www.oregon.gov/luba.
