U.S. Forest Service seeks views on use of motorized vehicles

Public comments on a proposal to designate motorized use on the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest and amend the Forest Plans are sought by the U.S. Forest Service.
The public scoping period began with the release of the Notice of Intent, which was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 26. The public is asked to provide any comments on the proposal by Oct. 14 to be considered in the preparation of a Draft Environmental Impact Statement.
Maps displaying the proposed action can be found at www.fs.fed.us/r6/rogue-siskiyou/projects/travel. Those without Internet access can view maps and documents at various forest service offices.
