Helping Children Who Have Been Exposed to Batterers is a 16-week series of classes for parents, grandparents or other care-givers who would like a better understanding of how children react to domestic violence and how to help them. Parents also learn to develop conflict-and-communication systems in their family that don’t involve power and control.
A Domestic Violence Support/Education Group offers a continuing forum for survivors or women interested in supporting each other on issues regarding domestic violence.
A sexual assault support/educational group has a six-week program for survivors of past or present sexual abuse or assault.
There also is a continuing recovery group using the Seeking Safety approach that helps participants address safety and recovery from addictions (drugs, alcohol, eating, spending, etc.) at the same time.
For Second Friday Art Walk each month, IVSHA is hosting artists. Refreshments, art and tours are provided.
