Toler fined on citation
From our weekly issue dated June 18, 2008
A $75 Sno-Park parking citation issued to Dave Toler, chairman of the Josephine County Board of Commissioners, was decreased to $25 during a federal hearing in Medford on Wednesday, June 11.
Additionally, a charge of providing false information to a police officer was dropped.
Toler had been cited in March at the Page Mt. snow park near Cave Junction by Sean Thomas, a U.S. Forest Service lawman. Subsequently, he charged that Toler had provided a false address when cited for the parking violation.

That charge was dismissed. It was attributed by the hearing official as either a miscommunication or misunderstanding between Toler and the citing officer.
Toler said at the time of the parking citation that he believed he’d parked in an area where Sno-Park permits were not needed.
