Kathryn Baker is the class valedictorian. William Crowl is salutatorian. They are honored as class speakers due to their grade-point averages surpassing 4.0 because of their accomplishments in Advanced Placement classes.

Baker and Crowl will address their classmates as will Steve Morgan, selected by the class as faculty speaker. Morgan, a history teacher, is the perennially chosen faculty representative.

The guest speaker will be Barbara Gamble, scholarship coordinator at IVHS.

The forthcoming graduates have picked red-and-white roses as their class flower. Red and white are the school colors. Musical compositions for the ceremonies will be led by Sean McKee, director of music.

As its motto, the Class of 2008 has chosen one by Confucius: “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”
