Tuesday, April 29

*At 4 a.m. some 62 gallons of diesel fuel was reported stolen from the back of a pickup truck parked near a guest room at the JI. The caller said he caught the thieves in the act, and that he was struck by one of the suspects before they fled in a newer, charcoal-gray Dodge pickup truck.

*James Charles Warner, 18, was cited on a charge of menacing with a handgun and transported to the Juvenile Justice Center in Grants Pass after reportedly pointing a firearm at another person.

*Theft of a cell phone from a vehicle in the 200 block of Watkins Street was reported at 2:48 p.m.

*A Warren Road resident said a neighbor had been shooting guns at “all hours of the day and night.”

*Joshua S. Porter, 28, was cited on charges of careless driving and failure to yield before entering a roadway in the 700 block of Caves Hwy. at 7:07 p.m.

*Jessica Pope, 16, was cited on a charge of fourth-degree assault and lodged at the Juvenile Justice Center in Grants Pass.

*Someone was said to be trying to sell some methamphetamine at a lounge in Downtown CJ, an anonymous caller reported at 10:50 p.m.

Wednesday, April 30

*Chokers and more than a dozen locks, valued at $400, were stolen from a logging operation in the 39000 block of Redwood Hwy.

*Two vehicles were reported racing around on Illinois Valley Golf Course at 7:10 a.m.

*Mary H. Richardson, 37, was cited on a charge of speeding on E. River Street at 10:33 a.m.

*Three teenaged boys were reportedly observed on the roof of the Seventh Day Adventist Church on S. Old Stage Road at 12:35 p.m. One boy said the caller pointed a firearm at his friends.

*People were said occupying a residence on W. River Street without permission.

*An O’Brien parent was told to send the kids to school or face jail.

*In the 29000 block of Redwood Hwy. a man said his wife is continuing to remove items from the property in contempt of court order.

*An “undrivable” vehicle was stolen from a residence on W. Stevenson Street.

*Another “undrivable” car, was stolen from the 200 block of S. Redwood Hwy. This one had a near-full fuel tank and some personal items.

*On E. Lister Street at 10:06 p.m. Crystal Leann Robinson, 25, was cited on a charge of failure to renew registration and warned for a defective headlight and license plate light.

*Two people were warned about school hours and were advised to leave the Evergreen Elementary School parking lot at 10:53 p.m.
